Surely you'd want a more detailed explanation before supporting it though?

It is only the third attempt, can not expect it to be perfect or understandable can always blame the EU if it needs changing.

I'm starting to warm to the idea of Truss taking over now

I think Sunak would be sensible and get on with the job and would generally be an all round better pick to take things up to the election

but I really want to watch Truss in action and see just how bad it can really get, Johnson has set the bar pretty low, but I reckon she'd bring a whole new dimension of inept to the table

Also for that little photshoot in Australia - that cost the txpayer £2k for a professional photographer.

Now, if I was being generous, I'd say PR is important for all senior government officals, however don't then start calling other politicians attention seekers when it is well known how much you have spend on making your instagram feed a direct part of your personal profile raising and you are openly mocked by colleagues for 'instagram diplomacy'

As an aside, if anymore is really bored its always fun to look at the governments offical Flickr account. There's some belters of Jacob Rees Mogg

Shame the cable didnt snap.

Didnt truss also use a govt jet to go to aus at a cost of half a mill?

I doubt shes the only one, but its a scandal

For what it's worth, I think Truss was referring to Sturgeon's plans for holding a second independence referendum without the consent of the government of the UK.

Yup.

Honestly I'm past the point of caring any longer. Liz Truss. Liz fucking Truss?

I wouldn't even have her running a department at the hospital.

Things are so bad out there. Our institutions are falling apart, the union is on its arse, we're tanking economically, inequalities in health, wealth and opportunity as the widest they've been for a long time. And we're about to install Liz Truss as the fucking Prime Minister.

I love this country, and it's getting systematically torn apart through incompetence and lack of clear direction.

And there's still folk clapping along from the sidelines hoping for more of the same.

How dare you. Elizabeth Truss is the next "new Thatcher", just like Theresa May was for a few months, and Penny Mordaunt was for a couple of days.

Don’t forget Nadine Dorries🙈

She'll be comedy gold, make no mistake.

Its not me being a cnut about it and i know its not easy, but these are the big decisions that need to be made if the tories are serious about improving the notrh

Its a disgrace more hasnt been done already

Itll be hard for some in the short term, but the north has faced loads of challenges in my lifetime with old school industries decimated

It was right to shut some of them and its right to get some of the opportunities of the south east to be relocated

You’re right Cheese, the North and the Midlands to be fair have suffered badly from the closure of manufacturing and the industries like coal and Steel but areas such as Sheffield and Barnsley are now having huge development in new industries like on the old and infamous Orgreave plant which is now a technology park. It will of course take decades to rebuild these areas but if money is thrown at new industries we won’t need a few titbits of jobs thrown up from London. We will never be like London and the SE, we never have been but it doesn’t mean we can’t build better here for the future and if our infrastructure was also improved I’m sure it would encourage even more industries to come here.

Err, actually the majority of their population didn’t vote for it and nor would the SNP have a majority up there without the Greens support. 😉

Not only the New Thatcher, but shares the same name as The Queen - double bubble for the Gammons 🙂

im guessing 62% of those who voted

like a majority of the UK didnt vote brexit

Yes of those that could be bothered to vote but still a very pro-EU result. Going back to the original point, prior to W63 misunderstanding, re-joining the EU is clearly something which voters in Scotland would support if they became independent.

Not sure they would support it if push came to shove, anyhow let them have their vote on independence and if successful let them then vote on rejoining the EU. Truly not fussed which way they vote.

Oh yes, sorry. Quite forgot.

It'll probably could be done over a weekend. Change a few signs, knock down Balmoral, put up some cones along Hadrian's Wall, remove the royal from the Royal Bank of Scotland and bob's yer uncle in you go.

Who's looking after the nuclear subs once Scotland bugger off?
