And about 10 others who went to secondary moderns and non-fee paying schools. Just do one. Brown didn't go to a Comprehensive Quote

He went to Kirkcaldy High School. A local comprehensive. Not that it matters. Major went to a secondary modern, May to a local Grammar, same with Heath. Trying to make out she comes from some sort of rough background unlike anyone else is completely misleading. And that does matter. Quote

Lt. Aldo Raine Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 I suppose it rests on what people's definition of a comprehensive school is. Kirkcaldy High School was part of the selective school system during Brown's period as a student there. Quote

I mean you can gargle the stuff she gives you if you want, no skin off my nose and as Boby says, lies and misdirection from the PM aside, its a pretty pointless discussion. Quote
MalcolmW Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 FWIW Major went to a Grammar School - Rutlish. Brown went to KHS 2 years early - not quite want comps do. He also went to Uni at 16. Quote

Why bring it up then 🤷🏻♂️ Anyway the Eton lot have gone, we get someone with a comprehensive school education and the bitching has started. 😂 At least Boris has gone. #AnyoneButBoris Quote

That's the point, it dismisses Major because it was a 'Secondary-Modern' - or a non-fee paying Grammar, which is just utter gash from Truss again. Like she's Liz from the blackstuff. It also changed during his time there, if we really want to be pendantic about it. And whilst we're on her education, she says it was difficult (which it wasn't)and she wants to improve on what she had, but she was at school under a Conservative government. This little side-show aside, that was end of days stuff from the PM. Quote

For what it's worth, whenever the politician from a comprehensive school kind of thing comes up I think it's mostly about selective v. non-selective rather than fee-paying v. non-fee paying. Re. the bit in bold: the school remained a part of the selective school syatem until Brown was well into his time at the University of Edinburgh. Quote

Spider Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 She then went on to say the 80’s and early 90’s were a total mess and stagnant (under Tories) And her whole thrust is that she can fix Britain. Which means the last 12 years have been shite. Theyre admitting they’ve been a force for absolutely fucking nothing - admitting it in plain sight - and still their cum guzzling fanboys are lapping up every drop “because it upsets greenpeace” Imagine the cognitive meltdown. Traf Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 How do you grow a pie? Liz doesn't want a bigger slice of pie, she wants to grow the pie. Meanwhile... Quote
