Bloke on QT said an interesting thing last week. Parties lose elections rather than win them. Some truth in that. And it looks like these fuckers are losing it it big time. You’re right, it’s more a case of the Tories losing rather than Labour winning. We could have the Monster Raving Looney Party in opposition and the polls would be similar. Doesn't say much about Labour though. Quote
Casino Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 Tell you what, i find bravermans politics even more repulsive than patels What is it about tory women from immigrant stock Absolutely vile Quote

He was against the 45p top rate that has now been rescinded and was in essence a small part of the fiscal budget. Politically it was a huge mistake. Because there are more reasons than just the economy to get this lot out. The 45p tax was one reason the markets reacted badly to the mini budget. I replied in length about the BOE intervention without which the position would be worse. At the heart of what Truss wants to deliver is a low tax growth agenda but there is an immediate need to tackle inflation and their budget ignored this. You keep asking why Labour , but simply saying because ' they are not the Tories' is not enough, says who ? Can you give any reason to vote Tory ? Quote

Still waiting. Quote

The markets have rejected the Truss approach, this has pushed up the cost of Govt borrowing, the BOE are having to prop it up. A change of Govt to someone else will help smooth those worries especially as they will (as they did at last election ) provide a fully costed manifesto. The Tories have been forced to change leader from Cameron to May because of Brexit, to Boris because of internal fighting, to Truss because Boris lied constantly and now Truss is proving even worse. If you have seen that shit show play out over last couple of years how does it look to the rest of the world ? Edited October 5, 2022 by Ani Quote

BobyBrno Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 If we all agree that the current government are shit, is it not to much to ask why Labour would do any better? No one has yet said why. Quote
