I wonder if an honours proposal has to have supporting evidence- surely it can't just be because a mate or a relative wants to?

Anyway, Stanley is a huge environmentalist and maybe it's for that, I've no idea.

Or maybe it's because of his pro-eu beliefs..

He no longer has pro-EU beliefs apparently although he's conveniently got himself French citizenship.

Not that you can take a word of what he says as gospel, just like his son. He does like twatting women though according to Boris' mum.

To be honest, the honours system has been  daft forever.

plenty of genuine awards are mixed in with some downright bizarre ones.

It’s one of those eccentric British things that  makes us British, I suppose.

But why do we put up with shite just because it is eccentric? Is it our sense of humour maybe? Boris was funny when he was rugby tackling footballers or dangling off a crane but he should never have got to the top gig. That has been shown to be the case countless times.
