Even had a couple of drinks with Alf when his boat docked on his round the world cruise.👍 Is he at it again? Met him in the Whites Hotel on my last visit, the time before that was when he jumped off the QE2 in Fremantle for a beer stop! Glad you had a good trip. Edited March 6, 2023 by bolty58 Quote

Spider Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Of course he has. He’s laughing at every one of us. But mainly at the ones who voted for him. They just don’t realise. Quote
MickyD Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 A knighthood though? Surely Stanley ought to be at least a Baron if not a Viscount. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 I wonder if an honours proposal has to have supporting evidence- surely it can't just be because a mate or a relative wants to? Anyway, Stanley is a huge environmentalist and maybe it's for that, I've no idea. Or maybe it's because of his pro-eu beliefs.. Quote

He no longer has pro-EU beliefs apparently although he's conveniently got himself French citizenship. Not that you can take a word of what he says as gospel, just like his son. He does like twatting women though according to Boris' mum. Quote
Spider Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 To be honest, the honours system has been daft forever. plenty of genuine awards are mixed in with some downright bizarre ones. It’s one of those eccentric British things that makes us British, I suppose. Quote

Still, as we know, his son condones that sort of behaviour. Quote

Boris was funny when he was rugby tackling footballers or dangling off a crane but he should never have got to the top gig. That has been shown to be the case countless times. Quote
