Witch-hunt you say? Boris Johnson wasn’t forced out by anyone but himself.

The Privileges Committee (Conservative dominated) would recommend a punishment which is likely 10 days suspension. Then the Commons (Conservative dominated) would vote on it.

Only then if his constituents (Conservative majority) decide to have a by election and vote him put would he be off.

He made the choice to leave to suit himself.

Trump well hear plenty more from for years to come, I've no doubt about that. 

Johnson is done now, certainly with regards to anything political. 

So its a witch hunt of Boris? This is coming from arch Bexiteers who kept going on about the sovereignty of parliament.

And then when parliamentary sovereignty actually works in the form of a cross-party privileges committee, they call foul.

Populists are fringe and deluded. People like Bolty aren't Conservatives, and we shouldn't treat their proclaimations are representative of many in the party. In fact, these views are actually damaging to the Tories.

I don't know why he was kept around for as long as he was. The sheer arrogance of someone who thinks that good leadership is partying away whilst the majority of the nation are either burying their dead or socially isolating to protect others.

An 80 seat majority should be almost impossible to lose in a single term. As well as winning it, he's almost solely responsible for them losing it (I am of course assuming they'll lose next time out.... ) 

 

Its an incredible achievement really, to win by so much, then promptly get ousted by your own party before seeing out the full term.
