My (now) Swedish mate still has a mortgage on his old place in Glasgow that he rents out. He loved the Liz Truss era fucking up the pound so he could pay off a chunk on his mortgage for cheap. He was already earning way more in Sweden being a teacher than he was here since Brexit that difference has got larger without much of a pay increase on his part.

Aye, I have a mate living in Stockholm the last 10 years, he says you think you’d be annoyed paying high taxes , but when everything works and you get good services for it, it’s less of an issue and not a priority

Despite the high taxes he's still taking home much more than he was over here even with him going from a private school in Jockland to a state school in Sweden. Definitely lucked out with his life opportunities even though he married a scotch lass.

What is the tax rate there? I’m for better services and would pay 5% more tax than I do now if all services were bang on.
