Would you rather this current Tory government won?

Because they’ve proven for 14 years that they’re fucking garbage. You admitted that. Yet you’d still let them carry on.

ill say it again for the simpletons down the back who are busy dribbling and eating crayons - IT IS NOT LIKE PICKING A FOOTBALL TEAM

Actually Spider, no I don’t want the Tory’s to win, I want Labour to win with either a very small majority or by a hung Parliament. That way any really stupid ideas and there will be many, will be curtailed. I genuinely dread 5 years of this crowd who will just want to implement their policies because they finally can but to all our costs.

Just ask yourself seriously how they’re going to fund their hugely expensive and frankly reckless policies? By increased wealth taxes on banks and Oil companies? North Sea companies are already abandoning fields and despite the fact that alternatives don’t currently exist, they’re going to close the others and forbid new licences. Just look at New Zealand who’ve now had to backtrack. Our big companies will probably go there instead or certainly to more favourable areas.

look I’m not going to convince anyone and we could debate backwards and forwards all night. I fully accept how bad the Tory’s are and have been but that certainly doesn’t mean Labour will be better and for me they certainly won’t.

If you look at the change he's managed to affect in the Labour Party since the last GE, then maybe he actually can make the kind of significant change the country needs - especially with a decent majority. If someone told me Labour would be in this position from where they were 5 years back - I wouldn't have believed them.

I doubt he'll just sit there and piss about like the Tories have done for the past 15 years.

He might not get everything right. But I do believe he has the countries best interests at heart. And it's VERY rare I say that about a politician.

Owd on pal. You are the voice of reason from the left leaning side on most occasions but, you did say you admired Jeremy Corbyn as a man of conviction.

I suppose you weren't far from me as I would have liked to have seen him convicted for crimes against decency. Sunak is a gormless, unskilled politician as evidenced by the crazy actions on D Day. However he has never (to my knowledge) stood on podia alongside muslim and Irish Republican terrorists offering tacit support.

He said today something along the lines of .. I want to be PM of the country not running a circus.  Which seems a decent starting point.

It would be if he didn't have a circus as a party.

Mr. Beige U Turn is playing a (rather clever - must have much better advisers than Sunak) game to appear more centre ground to ensure he is elected rather than expose the full panoply of madcap leftism until after he is ensconced.

You and I have experienced this before have we not?  We remember garbage piled high on the streets with rats running riot and strike after strike by union paymasters demanding what they believe they have paid for. Give it 6 months.

He has been pressed over and over again about his 'full support' for Jeremy Corbyn but skirts all around it rather than answering. Be afraid.

I did. Although my opinion changed over time. Especially after the leadership debates with Bojo when Corbyn dodged the Brexit question.

Give over. No fucking comparison and you know it. If the GE had been in November as most expected it was a certainty he would stand. The unexpected early GE was the reason for suggesting he wouldn't.

Your hero has U turned on so many things already that I am surprised he knows which way to face. For starters, I will mention 28 million quid and let you work from there.

Certain fooktards are not getting rid of me that easily. I was becoming worn down with their inane ramblings as did many of the former great contributors on here.

Then I got my second wind. A bastard innit?

You again assume things you don't know anything about

So I’ve decided to vote Reform. Not that I agree with their policies and to be honest, they don’t have a chance of winning anyway.

Ive looked at my choices locally and the best one is representing Reform. A local woman who was previously an independent councillor.
It could be the future. Voting for the best candidate rather than a ‘football team’

£100 to Derian house please Cheese.😊

As we've discussed at length previously, this is an impossible bet to prove.

It’s up to you. If you don’t want to take my word, don’t make stupid bets.

Do you honestly believe this will happen after 6 months? Blimey, that would be shit.

Some folk are just hugely tribal, like 63 - fair enough, I couldn't stay in the Labour Party when Corybn came in. Should I have stayed to fight the good fight? Maybe, but I just couldn't with good conscious support the way the party had gone. Became fucked off with Momentum and infighting - more bothered about winning inner party debates whilst allowing the Tories a free run with a.programme that has cleared made the country worse.

Finally feel we might be on the cusp of competence - boring, hard working competence.

Pretty sure you said you would pay up not long back?

You are welcome to trawl back and find that.

Can't imagine voting for a party led by Farage.

Fair play for being brave enough to admit it.

Nothing brave about it. I’m voting for a candidate that I think will be best for my area. As I said, Reform doesn’t have a chance of getting into power.
