Of course he is right. Some of us have been banging this drum for over two decades now. You won't find anyone with a higher regard for skilled tradesmen than me. Seeing the dearth of them in Australia and the lengths they will go to to tempt British tradies to emigrate there speaks volumes to me.

I will always have maximum respect for plumbers, electricians, joiners, bricklayers, engineering trades, carpenters. etc. They should be valued and looked after in the tax system and elsewhere.

IT is a boring, sedentary lifestyle best left to spotty geeks, loners and DMB's.  Marine biologists? Thousands at universities around the world taking degrees in it chasing a few hundred jobs globally. Madness.

I'm supportive of kids doing whatever the fuck they want, rather than pricing them out of (or forcing them down) a particular road based on my personal beliefs.

Nobody is being forced to do anything in a roundabout way he's saying we should be focusing on what he sees as vital courses. The rest run as normal.

Like I said it will never happen but he's raising valid point that we should have more post grads who actually go on to use their qualifications and we should have more avenues available for industry and apprenticeships.

But none of that is actually real. I’ve been in London a lot and there are no ‘Christian no go zones’. There are areas I’d definitely not fancy going to but that has nothing to do with Islam.

The IFS also questioned if parties could raise £5bn by "cracking down" on tax evasion and avoidance. 

"Maybe," said Mr Johnson, but he added that none of the manifestos "make much of the fact that on official estimates most of the shortfall in what HMRC collects is not from big, faceless conglomerates but from the self-employed and small businesses".

Whoever gets in, we know taxes are being raised at some point, as we have to pay off that Furlough borrowing, and also keep funding the Ukraine.

Go have a look in Nelson, Bradford, Rochdale etc etc.

Look at at the £4m mosque they are currently building in Blackburn. It's like fucking wembley stadium the thing.

- the intimidation of the school teacher in Batley for displaying an image of Mohammed in class (the teacher remains in hiding, to the indifference of practically every political figure)

- the aggressive protests outside cinemas across the country against a film which also showed an image of Mohammed (the cinemas subsequently cancelled showing of the film out of fears for the safety of their staff)

- the aggressive shouting of Allahu Akbar at end of a victory speech by a Green Party councillor upon his election to his local council earlier this year

- the sectarian violence between Muslims of South Asian origin and the Hindutva on the streets of Leicester

These things present a major problem to social cohesion

Perhaps the bigger issue is the seeming lack of will from the authorities and society in general to properly confront it, as it leads to the things I've put in brackets happening

We rightly don't have blasphemy laws in this country and it'd be a tragedy if Islamists were allowed to effectively impose a de-facto through intimidation

I'm sure they've prepared a detailed assessment of future university financing to back it up.

Especially when they've cut back on foreign student visas and done away with tuition fees on some courses.
