Not embarrassed at all. It’s been on the news a lot today.  Hopefully he won’t just be coming for the freebies and they do invest the £1 billion.

It is a politics thread. 👍

And if they do, I'm sure you'll admit you were getting all worked up about some meaningless bullshit. 👍

Bit of good guy bad guy going on i think... a reminder before the picnic that there is now a different government and they aren't going to put up with bad employment practices anymore

I didn’t get worked up about it. You did and others. You and others get  worked up about any criticism of this government. As someone said, it’ll be a long five years😉

Only for you I suspect.

i know you got battered by the Tory mess, and you’re looking to try and redress the balance in your own way, but so far it’s been something about freebies (hello, James Cleverly) and an as yet undecided row about ferries.

As you say, a long five years awaits 🥰

You’ll have to try a lot harder than this. Vince is just a business man like any other mate. From the same article:

Vince claimed that he was speaking in the “national interest” in criticising heat pumps. He proposes an alternative – green gas, or biomethane, made from organic material, which his company Ecotricity develops.

Beware the cold wind of change. Some see it coming, others don’t. 👍

He’s well known in the industry for being a bitter cunt because his ideas are acknowledged as niche rather than viable on a mass scale.

Scaling up supply and install of heat pumps and other renewables is going ahead and the next 5 years will be exponential.

Gas isn’t going anywhere yet, but let me know if you see any new build housing developments laying gas pipes. To quote Miami - “I’ll wait”

Going to sporting events and enjoying the trappings of senior political life.

you had an issue with Starmer doing it but seem less concerned when Tories did it.

The MIRROR? No wonder I didn’t see it. I thought there were rules on reputable sources. The Mirror! 😅

If we are now allowed tabloid reporting. How about this.

Regardless of the publications, you seem to be confusing someone's personal opinion with actual facts...

I haven’t looked into the Mirror story. Is it factual? I haven’t seen it anywhere else.
