Boris is exactly where he doesn’t want to be, but where he belongs.

People still hanging onto his coat tails need to move on now. It’s all a bit cringe.

Some people, would almost explode with joy if he did come back into politics. He absolutely craves the publicity, so he will be back.

It's good news that a so obviously political decision has been reversed

It's a shame the officers had to experience what they did

the only thing that doesn't make sense to me

if the police were in their car following them in theirs

how did they smell weed?

surely they'd only smell it once they stopped them, and opened the doors?

I’ve been behind a few cars recently and the stench of weed has been so strong I’ve had the smell come through the vents into my car.

youll notice it at some point. Usually a group of lads driving about town.

It was during the stop and search the claim of smelling cannabis was made

Indeed. Not every day but a regular occurrence. Not just a whiff either. It’s often quite obvious which car it is as well

Ok maybe If it's being smoked yes

But not if there's no weed in the car

And as far as I'm aware, they weren't smoking it and weren't caught with any

So if sounds made up

Why they believed some cops on this and not others have no idea

Ah fair enough. Didn’t read that far back, I’ve just driven behind cars where they’ve got a bifter on the go.

Aye, and why do many cops for one stop

Doesn't really add up for me

At face value, it doesn't add up

But patrols were taking place due to an increase in violent offending involving weapons in the area

They cut across in front of a police van and took the corner on the wrong side of the road, were then observed travelling in excess of the speed limit, and failed to stop when instructed to

There was a discussion during the election on do signs in garden's actually make a difference - was listening to this at the weekend - its based in the US but its a really interesting listen and the outcome of the test case really fancinating.

then they should've just said that was the reason why they stopped them

but instead

The couple were handcuffed and searched on suspicion of having drugs and weapons after they were pulled over outside their property.

I made the mistake earlier of thinking they'd been pulled because they could smell weed, but they said that happened during the search

but whether they could smell weed or not, you can't sack some for saying it, but not others, so sack them all or give them their jobs back, so in that respect, it was the right outcome

But it's the context posted above that leads to the suspicion of having drugs and weapons

And as you point out, two officers stated they could smell weed and it was accepted by the panel, which makes no sense

why can they not say they were stopped for dangerous driving, which it was, and intially refused

it's a good enough reason

another conclusion could be they were pissed

or does that mean they can only breathalise them and not do the search

can a search only be carried on the pretext of drugs and weapons, so they then chuck in the smell of weed also

Just because it wasn't the sole reason

You could say, pay for it yourself!

He's a Conservative, so it'll all be fine and above board. Nothing to see here, let's just move on.

An ailment which should be encouraged amongst the masses. It will have spread virally by the end of Q1 2025.
