Once a hotel stops taking paying customers and becomes asylum accommodation it is no longer a hotel. It has no stars for it's amenities as they no longer exist.

Think of the Metropole in Blackpool, once a beautiful thriving hotel but alas fell into serious decline and was an absolute shit hole before it closed. Now housing hundreds of asylum seekers which isn't great but they aren't being housed in a 3 star hotel either.

For what it's worth, I don't agree with paying companies to house them in former hotels either. Britannia seem to quite well out of it.

Didn't pensioners in need end up with more money than before the winter fuel payments were withdrawn because of changes to the way other their other benefits are paid?
