Also listening to a podcast on the radio about falling birth rates across the globe. Issues with rising infertility, coupled with people having kids much later due to cost of living, especially with how long it takes people to get a house.

Can't be a bad thing surely, but with an aging population, it could be a ticking time bomb. They were discussing the likelihood of western nations competing for migrants in the decades to come.

I see

I also assume that they could close it down and move if required. Would be a risk and costly though if some of these 2050 forecasts are correct.

I'm sure they've thought all this through anyway 😄

Maybe they haven't thought it through properly, and you've noticed a potential life-destroying scenario. I'd send them an email if I were you.

Who’s in the 12%? 🤔

It was mentioned on here last week.

We need migrants and plenty of them.

Just not the shit cunts we currently appeal to.

Seriously though who has ever done one of these poles?

I started doing them a few years ago, but they stopped sending me emails after a couple of months. 😢

Does that say that the people polled want Labour to cut international aid whilst increasing NHS spending?

Have I read that correctly?

If so, that's a bit awkward isn't it?

I'd say it's too early to tell if anyone's doing a good job yet.

Using football as an analogy, we're about 16 minutes into the game, which is currently a drab 0-0. Who is playing well?

Two polls there, part of a thread. Yes that is correct. Awkward for who?

Overseas aid is about 5% of what we spend annually on the NHS.

Should be plenty to sort of healthcare, social care, education and the police.

I can't think why nobody has tried it before?

Over 2 billion of overseas aid is spent on accommodation for immigrants.

A couple of new hospitals there 😉

It’s 5% of gross national income. It’ll be reduced to 3% to cover proposed defence spending. It was 7% but was reduced by 2% to cover COVID spend.

They don't go out with clipboards walking up and down a high street 😁

It's a mixed methodology, like all these data companies and is robust - as I've said many times before the sample.size to get a robust mathematical sample isn't that large. But large scale data is required for certain aspects.

Awkward for any government. Such is the population. For example, overwhelmingly people want to increase spending on our defense but they dont want taxes raised to pay for it.

Same here. Difficult this governing thing isn't it.

Unless you just have an irrational hatred for Rachel Reeves (which is quite funny to see) and then you can just Wang myopic posts on a league one football forum if that floats your particular boat.

It's quite a thing to see. Careful now.

This again proves my point, it's so myopic as to be amusing. It's no wonder our Julie found you so easy to convince.

It's not - it's 0.5% of gross national income........

And it will come down to 0.3% by 2027

2.8 billion in 2024. Down from 4.3 billion in 2023....... 👍

Sorry😊 What’s a decimal point here and there.

The OBR revised its borrowing estimates for the next 5 years after the last budget. They increased it by £200 billion. Stability.
