Must have spun himself sideways. Nothing like a good Burka binbag joke to finish it all off 😄

Aye. It’s been quite a yarn even by RWs standards

I’d ban Dryrobes first

I’ve seen a bell at the match, middle of winter, fucking freezing, dryrobe and fucking shorts.

Well I assume he was wearing shorts.

Integration is certainly more than just nipping to Asda and going to the local park

But my actual point was that the burqa - whatever anyone thinks of it - is a substantively different thing to someone wearing a costume that covers their face on a night out or someone wearing a motorcycle helmet

Well I missed it but yes I totally agree, it's totally different to those two things

As for integration, seems to be subjective as to what some one needs to do but I'm sure there are lots of folk who aren't integrated who have never wore a face covering

@Cheese You going to sort him out?

As I say, you've got to give it to RW, he'll keep on pushing on the pull door for as long as it takes.

He's ace.

The  biggest has saved himself till last,

I'm thinking next time I see someone in a burqa I might try and strike up a conversation

Ask them if they've got the time or a light or something

There are indeed, but it doesn't change the point about the burqa itself

Well mine was that whether not you see them as integrated depends on what you expect from someone looking to integrate into our culture

For me it's if they can go about their daily lives and business in a respectful and peaceful manner that's enough for me and so far as I've seen that's what burqa wearing women do

I certainly don't expect them to form a meaningful relationship with anyone outside of their peer group before I "accept" them for want of a better word

Yeah, I'm not looking for anyone to do anything before I "accept" them

I'm making the point that the burqa - an item of clothing that literally hides the whole of a person's body from the rest of society - contributes towards the isolation of the person wearing it, which I don't think is a particularly contentious point to make

Certainly not contentious but very much a valid discussion and talking point

I'm wondering

Can they take them off in doors when hanging out with family and friends

Owd on pal. This implies thinking. Taking the contrary position just to be an obnoxious cunt requires no thinking.
