We need to be careful mixing up metaphors, that is woke.

You're getting there.

So the "terrible thing" has been changed.

And yet, the same people who thought it was a "terrible thing" are now even less happy.

Nowt as queer as folk.

I think the new threshold is too high, fuck knows where they plucked that figure from but they clearly want to be seen to be doing something.

Yeah, I really don't know why they've set it so high

I guess it's to appease as much of the Boomer generation as possible

I’m a boomer. It’s crazy. They can’t even handle a u-turn properly.

This Sizewell jobby is a good thing right?

It was good news in 2022. (Some may think not) If it hadn’t been for court cases, it would have started by now.

More interesting is the investment in small scale nuclear reactors through Rolls Royce. Can be used more regionally to replace gas and coal stations local to demand.

I have to agree, it has been very badly handled.

Surely, it should be set to the same amount as the minimum wage so about £25k.

So all these things Labour are implementing have got people complaining because they’ve been in the pipeline for a few years.

Does it not just mean that they get things over the line? Procrastination is stagnancy.

Optically, that would seem to be the case.

Small nuclear reactors are the future of power for the UK.

they don’t take decades to install and coat a lot less.

They don’t get much attention though, because people like Nigel Farage want to reopen flooded, long abandoned coal mines and expects the current generation of Instagram influencers will be willing to train as miners since all current mining experience has long since retired

Nigel knows 🤪

Can hear it now...

By 'eck its cowd, put another fuel rod on t'pile luv 😁

Procrastination.

I really suffer from that. Like massively so.

Rather spend all day on here arguing about Burkas than invoicing for work I've done 🤣

There's an interesting article on the BBC (don't tell Bolty) about how our creaking infrastructure means lots of smaller power generators all over the country is required rather than huge offshore wind farms. If we built the required infrastructure then a good mix could be achieved but it would take decades.

Who’s complaining? (apart from the ones who took it to court) I’m just pointing out that these schemes have been in the pipeline for years. Even the SMR contracts. Capital investment is good for the economy. That’s the foresight that the Tories had.😉

Just couldn’t seal the deal.
