Going back to fossil fuels entirely would be a massive own goal.

Nuclear power plants should have been built years ago, like they did in France but they are costly and take a long time to payback the outlay. Which doesnt suit our short election cycles and short termism that is rife in this country.

Here we go. The altered mind brain of Britain has surfaced. Missed any posted replies lately?

Hadn't realised it was 13. Unlucky number. I'll go for my lucky number 17 the next time you are sleeping.

If you find me sleeping, piss in my ear.

How did you know about my parents marital status?

The panic at the rise of Reform is palpable. Keep contributing to the cause. Your time is gone.

You're right. There is a panic. Because the country will be in absolute disarray. A party who wants to extinguish our employment rights, our human rights in order to make a profit for their donors at the expense of the regular person.

There's a reason why the majority of reform voters, I imagine, no longer work. The chaos, depression, corruption and financial hardship of British working people won't apply to them.

Ironically, they'll just be delighted that "foreigners" will be persecuted even though a lot of them will take their kids and grandkids jobs on zero hour contracts well under the abolished minimum wage rate.

"We don't want foreigners" will be changed to "we don't want foreigners unless they'll work for fuck all, then as many of them can come in as we can handle".

And the PM of the UK will be shouting this from his New York penthouse that the reform voters have kindly paid for

To me it was the principle...

Not in the manifesto and hitting those who cannot go on strike such as train drivers and junior doctors.

Whether a pensioner has 10, 20, 40 or 60k per annum, it is still fixed and they can't simply do an overtime shift or earn a bonus to make up.

just like loads of other people

like young folk with mortgages for example, who nearly always pay the price for govt incompetence as inflation increases

pensions go up as while interest rates increase

My commiserations with all those pensioners on an income of £60k per annum unable to do an overtime shift to make up a £200 shortfall

Not really, the elderly who need it should still get it and more. Millionaires though? Not so much.

They care about the elderly so much they are trying to shut a care home near me. Because everyone knows that uprooting the elderly, especially if they have dementia is a good idea.

I see that 20 Tory councillors have defected to Reform this morning, The Conservative Party really are absolutely fucked. Just think, it's less than 6 years since Johnson won an 80 seat majority in Parliament. It's amazing to think in an upcoming GE, they could be relegated to 4th or 5th place

The illicit substances have clearly dulled your sense of humour you feral fucking dullard.

so it's heading towards looking like a vote for reform is a vote for the tories that got us into this mess in the first place?

What do you think about Sir Keir increasing council tax?

Point taken but it isn't a "benefit"

These people have paid into a National INSURANCE scheme administered by the Government as an alternative/add-on to private arrangements.

In my profession I have represented cases with the Insurance Ombudsman... I sometimes wonder whether changes and shortfalls to national pensions could be taken to the Ombudsman

What happens if you move to a position the thickness of a cigarette paper from the Labour Party.

They have finally seen the light and are attempting to convince that they are moving to the right, well away from the current incumbents. They have a gargantuan task - surely one or two more GE's before they'd be considered again. They might not exist by then.
