Fulham 1-1 Wanderers

No thread yet?

Going back 12 months there were threads going back weeks before the away games; being bottom of the league has obviously had a big effect on WW posters.

Anyway I wont be in my undies following the game on Bolton News moaning on here; I will be there.

Who's going?

As for the game itself its going to be tough but with the right set up I feel we can get something from this game

    I'll take 20% and 1-1 and 30% 1--0 rather than 60% and 0-1

Wasn't it Fulham away, first match one season, that half this board declared Jay-Jay Okocha an old has been?

Think we might nick something down there.

In plus Mrs Ratwhite and Ilford White for the weekend. Sunbathing for breakfast on the southbank then onto Putney for a posh booze to numb the pain of the match.

800 sold already. Fair play Wanderers fans.

Forceast is 15* and dry.

Almost balmy

Pay on the gate?

you'd have to find a link, be funny to read back on that one

he was only 29 at the time but he had a shit game that's for sure, as did Mendy

Kearsley White and I formed the BFS that day. First ever flight just us two by mid season there would 20 plus.

Think it helped we got to central London about 6 hours quicker than Miamis coach.

I've looked in the WW Archives and they only go back to 2003.

I seem to remember Jay Jay blowing out of his arse, whilst holding onto the corner flag about 10 minutes in. I might have made all that up.

Remember coming out of craven cottage after a 1-1 all those years ago and a guy with radio outside said a couple of fans had died at Hillsborough. That seemed bad enough but then to hear about things unfolding during the trip home ????

Remember it well.

Arrived back in central London and the horror was unfolding.

We were hammered on that baking hot day and I was gutted when I got back in my car.

The breaking news that they had found 2 young bodies was very sobering (the girls that Huntley murdered).

Aye, I lived in Acton back then so walked to Hammersmith to get a bus. Remember looking into some shop window to see stuff being played out on the news, as I'd only caught sketchy reports off people's radios on the walk back.

Vividly remember heading to my bus stop and there was an Arsenal fan there togged up; I mentioned summat about their result that day to which he replied "it doesn't matter now..."

Personally I've got an awful record against this lot going right back to the 70s. I can only think of 1 win (3-1 at the Reebok in the early days of Sam). Still the finest away performance I've ever seen when they annihilated us 2-0 in our promotion year.

Any road, I'll be there so expecting a draw at best. 1-1

jussi had a blinder that day, they could have had 10

Got a reasonable good home record against these, but away....

Apart from the cup only seen us win twice in league away

Early 90s reeves or Philliskirk scored won 1-0, and the 4-1

In the 70s when we were going well, this lot must've been managed by an Italian

They just shut the game down

I'm pretty sure I can remember 3 games including when we were promoted and we just couldn't score

In fact we hardly had a chance

Think Viv Busby may have scored 2 on the break in one of the games

Alec Stock was manager when Busby played against us and then Bobby Campbell (who also managed Chelsea) took over in 76/77.

What period was it that Bolton just couldn't win in that there London? Was it about the same time that we just couldn't lose on a Sunday?
