November 23, 20178 yr Given our shit support is it time to sell the Macron and build 15k stadium in Bolton? Or how about ground share with Leigh? Can not sell it the ST have blocked that to save us from the crisis Ken is getting us into.

November 23, 20178 yr Night games are all down to personal circumstances. Personally on Tuesday I managed to pick other half up at her work in Swinton at 6, had tea at the Toby at Watergate and we were in the club shop buying Xmas presents at 7.15. Appreciate half 7 might be marginally better for those with kids (until the really cold weather kicks in, I’m sure), but in a rare defence of the council, the traffic is bad enough on the M61 until 7ish most nights anyway without throwing in an earlier kick off.
November 23, 20178 yr Given our shit support is it time to sell the Macron and build 15k stadium in Bolton? Or how about ground share with Leigh? Sadly we can't sell the stadium, due to the ST sticking their oar in. We're lumbered with it for the foreseeable.
November 23, 20178 yr It still won't stop folk bleating on that attendances are low due to pricing though.... no, but, they did choose the wrong game to try and get folk through the door pre-christmas in december woudln't be advisable and with no games between christmas and new year, the advisable game to try and get a crowd up would be New Year's Day V Hull or the PNE game in March
November 23, 20178 yr hes not being critical of supporters hes being critical of non supporters It comes across as he is moaning at all of us to be honest
November 23, 20178 yr didn’t you scoff the other day when I said the macron is 10k to bigI think he is joking
November 23, 20178 yr Can not sell it the ST have blocked that to save us from the crisis Ken is getting us into. That’s not true but you know that anyhow. ????
November 23, 20178 yr Given our shit support is it time to sell the Macron and build 15k stadium in Bolton? Or how about ground share with Leigh? And where in Bolton do you think the club would (a) be granted planning permission and ( be able to afford the land? Serious questions
November 23, 20178 yr And where in Bolton do you think the club would (a) be granted planning permission and ( be able to afford the land? Serious questions stop the mosque on blackburn rd , build a replica of gigg lane. there. only needs 80 parking spaces for planning to be granted. loads of pubs in the area. oh , sorry they have all shut... November 23, 20178 yr And where in Bolton do you think the club would (a) be granted planning permission and ( be able to afford the land? Serious questions No idea where but I have now conceded the Macron is a white elephant time to look for something somewhere that fits our needs closer to Bolton town centre and it wouldn’t bother me if it was 15k I’m through with thinking we need anything bigger. November 23, 20178 yr didn’t you scoff the other day when I said the macron is 10k to big I did but on reflection I think you are spot on we can’t afford the upkeep we couldht ever fill it on regular basis even if we were premier league team it’s time to move on and move closer to the town centre if we can get enough money from the sale of the Macron to build something to fit our needs I’d be in favour. November 23, 20178 yr If we were to move on, not that we would, there can’t have been many/any teams who only spent 20 and a bit years in a new build modern stadium then moved on. I know Scunthorpe have been on about it for ages but this would be on a different level. Stick it on Leverhulme Park, that’d really give them something to moan about
November 24, 20178 yr Let’s exoand the Macron to 60,000 and get some crowds in that we were getting in the 40s
November 24, 20178 yr Atlanta just demolished a stadium built in 1989. Not that much older than ours. Granted, the Yanks are fucking mental.

November 24, 20178 yr I wonder who would purchase it and for what purpose? Obviously Wigan Ath, then move in there and saw down the Nat statue and stick up Dave "Broke my league at Wembley" Whelan
November 24, 20178 yr I wonder who would purchase it and for what purpose? You could sell the land eadily enough for retail or housing.....you wouldn't get anywhere near enough money to buy another patch of land and build a stadium though We don't need to move, we just need to shut down the upper tiers or one of the stands completely
