As far as this spat with the caterer's is concerned blokes like Anderson don't pay up if they are right. Bringing Heathcotes alliegence to the football club in to the argument is total bollox. It's a ploy to get the fans on his side, and away from the issue that he fucked up; and also to make Heathcotes out to be the baddy.

The real power they have is not to attend any games. I suspect that in bigger Club's cases where match attendance revenue isn't the biggest income that might not be too powerful but I think in our situation it would have the potential to cripple the Club financially.

Exactly. So fans have the ultimate power, chairman should be made aware of just that and that would at least allow fans to influence the thoughts of owners. FWIW wish KA got involved 5 years before we got relegated because we’d probably be still in the premiership.

I suppose it's down to how much effort fans put in. And how much pressure the chairman can take. It's not uncommon for chairman to dig their heels in when the natives get restless. Amazing howiles tweeted that story and the main headline that he put read as if ken had failed payment and we were almost wound up.
