Underpants Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 New statement from Ken, this bit seems a bit too critical for the public domain. https://bit.ly/2n1B9Om “Unfortunately, even though Paul Heathcote is a ‘lifelong supporter of the club’ he decided to issue a winding up notice against Bolton Whites Hotel Ltd only a few days after the amount would have been due. I doubt anyone would see that as the actions of ‘a lifelong supporter’! No doubt he pays all his suppliers weekly and on time as we have to! The winding up petition will now be dismissed but I would ask everyone to consider if they want to support SCC/Heathcote’s other businesses in the light of his aggressive actions against the club.” Diversion tactics by KA. Last year we had problems with the contract between BWFC and Heathcotes. King Ken and Heathcotes re-negotiated the contract. If you remember Anderson came out later and said that this was a better deal for BWFC. He was happy, very happy. Now he's not happy with the terms he negotiated and he's kicking up a shit storm and calling Heathcote a Judas. KA has now coughed up. What does that tell you? Quote

Bringing Heathcotes alliegence to the football club in to the argument is total bollox. It's a ploy to get the fans on his side, and away from the issue that he fucked up; and also to make Heathcotes out to be the baddy. It's business nothing more. Quote

Leaving Eddie Davies to his own devices worked out well didn’t it. Quote
DirtySanchez Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 What power do the fans have? If an owner doesn't want to go they won't go Hull perfect example He's been pissing the fans off for seasons, bar a couple of protests and sticking stickers saying 'Allam out he's still there Quote
Boothy Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 The real power they have is not to attend any games. I suspect that in bigger Club's cases where match attendance revenue isn't the biggest income that might not be too powerful but I think in our situation it would have the potential to cripple the Club financially. Exactly. So fans have the ultimate power, chairman should be made aware of just that and that would at least allow fans to influence the thoughts of owners. FWIW wish KA got involved 5 years before we got relegated because we’d probably be still in the premiership. Quote

And how much pressure the chairman can take. It's not uncommon for chairman to dig their heels in when the natives get restless. From what I remember Peter Swales at City had it really bad. He went eventually but it took a long time. Edited August 3, 2018 by Underpants Quote

Guest Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 I note that Ken/Lee say we are making a signing and Iles is asked who it is and is like "I don't know ask them". Ken mentions a winding up petition that he has sorted and within an hour Iles has a story up about a winding up petition trying to cast doubt on part of Ken's statement. Iles is so so transparent I don't know why he bothers to pretend. He'd love the ST running the club. Bet thinking about that is his nightly dose of viagra. Quote

Amazing howiles tweeted that story and the main headline that he put read as if ken had failed payment and we were almost wound up. Complete failure to recognise everything else mentioned in that article and the other half of the story. Quote
