Leyther_Matt Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Strange one ameobi hasn’t been at the races for weeks But can pull something out, great assist at Leeds And nearly scored a worldie a minute later. Frustrating as he is, he’s one of our few players actually capable of coming up with a bit of quality so he’s (just about) worth carrying as it stands. Quote
Moderators Zico Posted April 9, 2018 Moderators Posted April 9, 2018 hopefully anyone offended by KA's comments are now over it, and PP can pick his best team must start Ameobi and Noone either side of ALF, I've seen more from the latter in very brief glimpses than I have of Buckley in all his starts since Christmas Quote
Guest Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Worth sticking Connor Hall on bench? I'd say yes. Possibly worth starting him after Barnsley if we don't win tomorrow or Saturday. Nowt to lose then. I'd like Hall to get a go, on the bench ahead of Buckley...we all know what Buckley will do, and its not great. Quote
Traf Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Worth sticking Connor Hall on bench? Why not? As long as fans' expectations of him are realistic. Lad certainly knows where the net is. Quote

darrener Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Worth sticking Connor Hall on bench?I think he's thoroughly deserved his chance, he's 20 not 16. I'd put Jeff King on the bench has well too many more experienced players have been given the chance and have failed miserably. They might fail but can't be any worse than Buckley and Wilbraham Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 I'm not going home to have some dirty suvvern ponce spit all over me, 'cause if he spits over me I'll put a fucking pint glass in his head... 2-0 Wheater brace and survival almost ensured - a snip at £25k per goal. Quote

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted April 9, 2018 Site Supporter Posted April 9, 2018 we could replace him with somebody else who doesnt have the ability to create anything Well someone that can breathe and run more than 30 yards without needing an inhaler would be a start. Given little's good work down the right and his crosses, stick him there in front of Flanagan. Quote
Moderators Casino Posted April 9, 2018 Moderators Posted April 9, 2018 you seem to be thinking of footballers as performing seals ameobi works his nads off and quite regularly creates an opportunity ameobi is not our problem its not having 2 more of him thats the issue Quote

For me he creates little and seems to struggle to get on the end of some of his approach work. I've done my own little 'sam cam' thing at times and he'll play a nice little ball then stop and watch instead of getting into the box and look to get something. He works as hard as he can no doubt, but so much of that is defensive. He's undoubtedly talented, but there's a reason he's not succeeded elsewhere. I agree that more technically gifted players would help him and the team, but there's not much point when it flies our their heads. Quote
