madthatter Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Who's bricking it yet? Lose the next two and I will be. Two wins and kind results elsewhere and we could be almost safe. Quote
radcliffe white Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Who then signed two of our targets because we couldn't afford them under the embargo rules. who are these two? Have they been the reason they are where they are? I doubt very much it has anything to do with it but you carry on making excuses for Parkinson Commentator said on sky Saturday this Millwall side have determination and grit that has absolutely nothing to do with signing 2 players we couldn’t afford Quote
gonzo Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Aye their main man is Morrison who's been there since the cold blow lane days. Never heard any rumours we were after Gregory either? Sure they'd like Ameobi and Alf in their ranks. Quote

It simply puts into perspective their respective ability to add to their squad. They also signed Saville (for a fee which we couldn't do) in the summer who is their joint top scorer with 10 goals....same number as Madine had by January when we sold him. Gregory has been a revelation. All in all, Millwall had the ability to improve their squad in the summer. We were in the bargain basement for freebies only. Quote

Sure they'd like Ameobi and Alf in their ranks. Morison has 4 this season. Gregory and Saville 10 each. Gregory's been there a few years. Saville was added in the summer. They've not had major injuries, kept their top scorers and added some quality players (two we wanted) behind that. Quote

Ok it’s not showing at the moment but we have added players some teams wouldn’t mind Quote

Ok it’s not showing at the moment but we have added players some teams wouldn’t mind I'm saying Parky got Madine firing similarly to how Harris got Gregory going. Harris also was able to spend money on Saville (I'm sure Parky would have if he'd had the chance) and he's bagged 10 from midfield. If we'd added someone who scored 10 goals in the summer and kept our other 10 goal striker I think we'd be far higher up right now. You say we signed players other teams wouldn't mind...surely the very definition of our position in the summer was we got players by default because nobody else wanted them, given we were hardly competitive financially? We were forced to go for players who were either discarded or hadn't played for a long time. That does take a toll. Also as you say Millwall kept the core of their team together and haven't been blighted by injuries. We lost our captain in the summer and started the season with key players missing. Quote
darrener Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Parky asking for the fans to get behind the team, well start the game like you mean business and the fans will get behind the team. Start like we did against Derby and the atmosphere will turn sour pretty quickly. We need a full bloodied performance from the team first minute till the last. Come on you White men! It's Millwall ffs Quote

It's Millwall ffs I agree completely. The fans have shown nothing but support with no reward at all. Decent followings to Leeds and Derby, and then biggest home gate last week against Brum with an abysmal performance. Wish Parky would stop focusing so much on the fans, and more on the efforts of the players! Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 We always play better against the sides further up the table. Got a horrible feeling that we’re going to get in to a winning position and fuck it up though. 2-1 Millwall. Quote
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted April 10, 2018 Site Supporter Posted April 10, 2018 We might have a chance as long as Millwall have 11 men on the pitch. If one of theirs gets sent off we've had it. Quote
Guest Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 We need the first goal every single game. Corrected... Quote
bolton va va Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 We need the first goal tonight We always need the first goal because we don't have the guile to break down a team that is holding a lead. Flum at home, Millwall away - draws - but i can't think of many other points we've got after being behind. Quote
Site Supporter Ratwhite Posted April 10, 2018 Site Supporter Posted April 10, 2018 We have a team within the squad with the ability to win (and the attitide to win) If they trun up like v Brizzle / Cardiff / Villa / Fulham we will win. If they dont we wont Quote

Chances of getting back on terms from general open play are zero, even against 10 men. Quote

If they dont we wont See, we're not, for me, in the bottom 6 because we're lazy or have a poor attitude. Not in my view. Of course we sometimes are dire. But we're there through a lack of ability in the squad generally. We won those games because yes, we grafted, but also because the opposition didn't play very well. If Millwall come with the right attitude and play their best then likelihood is they will win. That's why they're 7th and we're 4th bottom. Quote
Members DazBob Posted April 10, 2018 Members Posted April 10, 2018 I'll be most displeased if Buckley starts tonight. Quote
Tyldesley White Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I think we'll win tonight, got no reason why but just the type of game we'll win, said the same against Villa 3-1. 2 up early on, they pull one back in the second half and we get the third late on, relief!!. Ameobi, Le Fondre and Morais 15,832 Quote
Eddie Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I'll be most displeased if Buckley starts tonight. We could be in line for a shocking midfield tonight if Henry, Pratley, Kirchhoff and Morias are all injured. That’s 4 of our strongest starting midfield 5 for me (the German is debatable due to how little he’s played). I hope he goes back to 4 at the back but keeps Little and Robinson in there, it at least gives us a slightly different way of playing than with Flanagan and Taylor Quote
bwfc2003 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 No Connor Hall in under 23s last night Possible bench for him tonight? Let’s hope if he does come on and doesn’t get a hat trick in first 15 mins the idiots don’t get on his back!! Quote
