Will the mentalists be happy when they get their wish for free flowing football under PP and we end up getting relegated?

So you were happy with the crap served up for most of last season

Nope. They'll go very quiet about their wish for "tippy-tappy, pretty " football & switch to whining about us getting relegated because we didn't play the youth players who they've never seen.

Very, very happy.  Staying up with the weakest squad in the league was everything.

Yh.

Every defeat was worth it.

It led to THAT moment against forest

:-)

tbf we played some decent stuff at times,

But that’s the annoyance of the man for me.

I don’t think he will change with his swapping and chopping and his bizzare team selections.

Subject to opinion like but I really don’t think we did.

Like bollocks we had the weakest squad

Certain games no but you wont see free flowing football with basically a league one team ain’t going to happen, we tried to play that style under Lennon look what happened, let’s establish ourselves for a couple of seasons then try to embellish our football style when we’ve got the players to do that.

Like bollocks we had the weakest squad

4th weakest. Don’t think you can argue with that we missed Vela and Ameobi for 11 games chucked in a 35 year old centre mid who was out of contract and sold our top scorer in Jan and replaced him with a near 40 year old our squad was full of players no one else wanted it was a poor squad at this level.

We had a far weaker squad than Sunderland.

Like bollocks we had the weakest squad

The only player we had who any other club would want was sold & not replaced in January.

The rest of the squad was made up of free transfers & loanees who no other championship club would want, which made us the weakest squad in the league.

We were certainly bottom 3 on paper looking at the squads. Sunderland underperformed with what they had. You can argue about our quality relative to Barnsley or Burton. But we were way, way below others. A squad with more quality in it finished rock bottom of this league. And had been on the slide for years.

Some Bolton fans massively overrate our own players for some weird reason.

And manager too it seems

Yes, it is subjective, but i'd say that there are players in any of the relegated clubs who would improve us but i'd be very surprised if any championship club came in for any of our players.......& let's face it, they're all available.

take a look at millwalls summer signings frees and loans from none league clubs

Merideth saville and Elliott ok were good additions but we also added. We finished 10 points clear of them and they are still using the core from last season

Imo we have a better squad and I bet there wages are less

yes we have one of the worse squads for sure not arguing that but it’s not as shabby as folk make

His inability to adapt his ideology away from home means he should go in my opinion. Plus, after the Burton game, in his interview he looked like he completely lost and devoid words to explain what happened

And next game ?

Not sure I agree with this. Millwall had a poor start in our League One season, and had a good FA cup run to contend with too.

Gregory is better than any of our striking options this season, and while our forward line was often isolated, they have Morison up there with him, who is a perfect foil.

Saville is better than anything we have in the middle, and Meredith is better than any of our full backs.

Could argue that we shouldn’t have finished so far behind Millwall, but I was really impressed with them at our place. Even if we were terrible.

We wanted Meredith but couldn’t afford him. Saville got them 10 goals and cost about a million quid. The difference between us and them probably was those three signings that we were unable to make in embargo and with an enforced wage cap.

If we had those 3 we might have had the same season they did. Especially if we’d not sold our top scorer also in January,

Cheater beevers and vela went from nearly 30 goals to a handful

That's some loss to make up

And we sold our top scorer

he cost 500k

Wondered when you’d pipe up

I think Parky could have us in around playoffs with a bit of money to spend. That’s the issue and not Parky.
