Heard it on Radio 5 while I was in the van today and was definitely yanny. An hour later with the radio still tuned to the same station I could only hear laurel. Weird!

I hear two voices. One saying laurel, the other saying yanny.

Edit: scrap that. I'm a mere mortal it seems. Just heard a different clip from the one I originally heard and all I can hear is Laurel.

The speakers have a huge affect also on the audio - tinny ones on a phone will give a different sound to a car, especially if it has decent and numerous speakers.

Sad git that I am I've just gone outside and played gonzo's clip on here through the speakers in my car - yanny

 

But on talksport in the car it was laurel
