May 19, 20206 yr Jet2? Booked direct? Sigh... I'd have booked you the exact same trip but cheaper... Right, here goes... Get in touch with Jet2, they're very helpful & have excelled themselves in this crisis, putting many others to shame. Tell them you want to reschedule for next year and providing it's at least £1 more, there shouldn't be any extra penalties. Next time, use a travel agent and they'll do all the legwork for you. You're welcome.

Mrs Manc would find a holiday and phone me about it. I would just say book it as she has decent standards and won’t overpay. Only since I liked Traf’s Natsammia Travel on Facebook did I realise that modern agents aren’t like those of old. His deals are immense. She’s been told to book nowt from now on

Thinking I might change the flights and car hire to August and book a villa for a week and kiss good bye to the £700 deposit.

May 20, 20206 yr Just took the plunge for August, got 3 return flights for £500 to Alicante, if restrictions get eased I can see those flights being £1000 + with restricted flights.

Each to their own but queueing to get into Paddy O’Shanters for a full English before queueing for a parasol sounds like a load of shit to me.

We're going to our place in La Zenia second week of August for three weeks. Was £700 for four of us, granted we booked at Christmas. Fingers, toes, the lot crossed

May 20, 20206 yr Greece opening up next month and Full on from July. Looks like Some folk will get a summer holiday and a nice wee 2 week break at home afterwards as well. where do folk stand on insurance as fco are advising against all but essential travel still. And holidays don’t fall under that banner. So will this void all insurance? I was having this debate earlier and we both felt it did void it. But who’s going on holiday with no insurance??

Depends on the cost. If it's a cheap AI in Greece, it'll be worth the risk. 2 weeks at Sandy Lane is a different proposition Edited May 20, 20206 yr by boltondiver
May 20, 20206 yr I thought if FCO says no then you are entitled to cancel your holiday and get a refund?

May 20, 20206 yr See, I think any of you booking for this year are nuts. Unless you’re ready for 14 days isolation. Just wait...
May 20, 20206 yr I can’t see that 14 days lasting long itv are saying Greece to open from July but not for brits Edited May 20, 20206 yr by radcliffe white

May 20, 20206 yr The Spanish are happy with EU tourists this year. They’re definitely happy to do one summer without the Brits who are back of the queue thanks to brexit. No insurance companies will cover anyone over 50 in Spain this year. So catch CV at your own risk. Wouldn’t fancy that invoice. I don’t get the rush, to be honest.
