I still want to know how the airlines expect to fly full aircraft with social distancing rules.

If you and one other passenger were in a 747, one on aisle 1and the other on aisle whatever the back seat is on, any airborne virus will be passing through the whole plane a few times during the flight. I’m therefore not getting that you’d feel the need to social distance on a non-essential flight.

  • For the record, I've never had any business dealings with captainmed. I hardly know the bloke and he certainly doesn't know me or my business. It's not the best review I've had, but you can't win

Again, @Nordkurve has informed us that the air filters on planes are extremely efficient.

It's the sharing of bogs and every cunt lugging 20kg of hand luggage around to save £22 that will fuck it all up

From what I've seen so far hand luggage will be banned for the foreseeable along with the on board service and you'll need to ask permission to use the loo as queueing in the aisles will also be banned

No thanks

I cant get my head round manchester airport

This!! I just can’t see how it can work. How on earth do you social distance people in all those queues? What about those buses for planes that don’t park next to an airbridge

How much of all this bollocks - travel wise and in other spheres will actually help prevent the spread of the virus, and how much is just window dressing to inspire consumer confidence and get things moving again?

Wouldn't be a surprise if the 'terms and conditions' on everything (that nobody ever reads before signing/ticking) change - giving companies indemnity if your cock drops off or your colon falls out either.

Difficult to say at this stage

I’m due to go to Ibiza in August. An island with low CV-19 cases and no deaths. Why should you have to quarantine coming back from there yet you can travel down to London which has been rife with CV-19, spend the day on the underground, then  go back home as normal?

We don’t yet know whether there will quaratining in August

Same applies if I was going next month or whenever quarantine starts

Keep watching. They're looking at these special agreements with countries with low infection rates where there may be no need to isolate.

I’ve said before I saw something saying no UK citizen was to be allowed entry to Ibiza in 2020. Can’t remember but I definitely saw it pal

It's safe in London now, just make sure you don't fall asleep on the Underground and wake up at Watford Junction

Last time I spoke to my lady in Corfu, they had one case

Fcuk knows why they'd want us there

It's a fucking mare, I don't want to go, they probably don't want me/us either. But I am looking at a wasted £3k if Jet2 get their way

I think sooner or later they’re going to have to either offer people incentives to cancel so that they can successfully social distance for those who do decide to take it up or knock the whole thing on the head. Suppose it’s whether you want to gamble on the latter or take the hit on the 30% (which is why we’ve got in there with 73 days to go and written off the deposit)

This 14 day quarantine bollocks is the government putting on a show of force they are taking this seriously.

Theres more chance of exporting corona to countries who have handled this better than there is of importing it

I’m same with the family we stay with in Crete. Their economy is desperate for the tourist dollar but they know that with the tourists comes the risk.

A poster off here reckons the quarantine is Labour's fault, as the Tories are imposing it to appease Labour.

Dave is quite correct in his assertions and my own thoughts are well known ie if we needed a quarantine on inbound travellers, March 23rd was the date to impose it. When finally realising it needed doing on May 22nd, two months later, then surely June 8th is another 17 days too late?

They're fucking the travel industry over here. 2 firms have gone in the past week or so, more will follow because they're getting no help.

But who gives a fuck, your average Tory MP doesn't book a package deal.

I disagree; the virus was rampant then.

Hindsight would suggest around 31 January.

I think I can see the reason why this quarantine starts on 8th June.

3 weeks later when they review it is 29th June. I suspect the measures will be starting to bear fruit so we’ll review it again in 3 weeks time - or 20th July.

well done everyone, time to do away with quarantine, holidays can resume from tomorrow.

Parliament rises for their summer break on 21st July.

Cynical? Me?

Spain have announced they'll be taking British tourists again from 1st July. Great news.

Now, to speak to the school and see how they feel about my two having an extra week off in early September....

I’d imagine that rules around taking kids away during term time are out of the window now, certainly for this / next year

What about the Insurance aspect though? god forbid you go to Spain and get Covid that requires treatment, your not covered and can’t use the Spanish health service for free as we are no longer in the EU - could get very expensive
