Nowt better than cooking a bacon butty in the fresh air....

Its not for everyone I get that, and there's always a place for nice hotels and a bit of luxury but we've always found it a great way of having a load of cheapish breaks, without massive drives or travel, with the kids without much hassle. Gets them away from the TV, mobile etc and just nice to spend time with each other that we don't normally do at home.

I’ve got loads of camping gear that we used when the lads were younger. A superb 6 man (or woman) frame tent. My wife never took to it so as the lads moved away it’s been stuck in the garage since. Trying to persuade her to give it another go. Maybe next year.

Campings great.

Always been curious what you do if you need a dump? Do you:-

A) Hold it in for the duration of your trip?

B)Find a field and have a dump there?

C) Wear a nappy and just hope nobody notices?

Go to a camp site with proper facilities. ie. showers, toilets and a bar. (always take a torch)👍

Camping still the best holidays for me, pack a tent and all the gear, drive to France for 3 weeks in summer, fucking brilliant, been doing it since 2003, them all inclusive hotel holidays do my nut in.

yeah, love it - if folk are just trying out Eurocamp is a great place to start.

If its a nice night away, then a posh hotel islovely, done an all inclusive once. Didn't enjoy it that much, was well bored by the second week.

But seriously, ain’t a fan of hotels for holidays either. I don’t want to live with a load of other folk for a couple of weeks.

I’m more a villa man. Own pool, own space. It’s just like camping, just without the shit bits  😃

 So bourgeois.

shitting in a bucket

i'll stick with hotels , thank you.

When I was growing up in Little Hulton, United fans used to say things like that about me watching Bolton. It was the sixties, them European Champions, us on the slide to oblivion. Sometimes, reason doesn’t come into it. If it’s not for you, fine. Don’t Knock it if you don’t understand.👍

They used to accuse you of camping?
