For Millwall. it was a bit cheaper via Wigan, ,but just looked, & those have gone up now. I think City are in London that day which might have pushed train prices up.

My first away game without my dad, just me & a mate..I was 11. Shat myself when we couldn't find our coach after the match... I was hooked though! Used to love away matches in the 70s.

  • You can't take a view on today without taking account of missing that pen We were better than them and should've won Our goal is fantastic and hopefully gives doidge a massive boost

Mate works for TP Express and they’ve been advised that Northern will be running virtually zero services.

Bollocks. I booked three rail tickets sadly oblivious that Sheffield - Rotherham leg of journey and return was Northern Rail. We will find a method be it a cab or maybe local bus service.

Looking like best bet is to mob up in Sheffield and get some local minibus taxi’s over

There's a good chance that there'll at least be a replacement bus service ( which would be quicker than a service bus ),  & hopefully the odd train.

Will affect the following and the atmosphere in town centre.

With the exception of PNE this is the first decent sat game we’ve had this season and we’re hardly spoiled this side of Xmas neither with Villa switched to Friday, Sheff Wed midweek and the other 2 being in London. I’m not including WBA as with exception of the Vine there’s not a lot & Reading is shit whenever you go.

Reasonably local aways Boro & Stoke we’re also midweek.

The way the aways have fallen has been unlucky.

Also If it’s not enough fucking up our home games with train disruptions were now onto the aways with this and Ipswich.

Rant over.

It's this season's "reunion" game, so they should lift the numbers & atmosphere a bit.

Boro reasonably local??

We got Millwall for about £35 with railcard - although back via stafford - thank to big dave.

Keep checking Brentford - nothing cheap yet.

Hope we turn up at Rotherham this time, after the 2 hidings we have had previously.

Cheers pal - and also if you find out when and if cheap tickets will be available

Trying to get from Carnforth to Rotherham is proving difficult to arrange.

Don't fancy a 5 hr round trip driving and the trains are shit.

Easier to get to London.

Northern powerhouse

Nearly a 1000 tickets sold.

Can you not get to Preston? I'm leaving Preston at 9.48 - arriving at Sheffield for 11.35. Drinks at the Station Tap & 3 hours to sort out the Rotherham leg...

Of course I can, but as ever it's not that simple!
My 13 yr old daughter doesn't mind being dragged along to the pub, but 3 and a half hours pre-game is probably pushing it for her tolerance/patience levels.

Current favourite is train/tram as far as meadowhall then it's about 3 miles in a cab, I think.

I'd rather go to nearby Kendal and watch Colls instead of driving to Rotherham.

Exactly. And add in the fact that I'd have to be on the 9.39am from Carnforth, it's too much like a ballache.

Yesterday was a strike day

Trains ran hourly pre match

Just one after the game due at about 545 - can see it not stopping at Rotherham on the way home

Northern rail website saying trains between Sheffield and Rotherham are running??

My mate who drives for Northern says to take any web advice with a pinch of salt.

The trains generally have been running in mornings over here. But nothing after 5. I just wish they would strike on work days so can go home early.

back from holibobs, can't wait
