For Millwall. it was a bit cheaper via Wigan, ,but just looked, & those have gone up now. I think City are in London that day which might have pushed train prices up.

My first away game without my dad, just me & a mate..I was 11. Shat myself when we couldn't find our coach after the match... I was hooked though! Used to love away matches in the 70s.

  • You can't take a view on today without taking account of missing that pen We were better than them and should've won Our goal is fantastic and hopefully gives doidge a massive boost

A point is a reasonable result here as their home record is decent. We could do with a good home win next week though.

And I Would have taken a draw before the game and at 1-0 down with 10 to go

I agree about our goal and the pen is a key aspect to the game, but they attacked us at will for long periods and always looked dangerous.  They hit the bar and miss at least 2 point blank headers.  So in my view, we were not better than them.

We hit the bar and missed a penalty b4 they scored

Ps there's some proper cocks follow us

Agreed, but us hitting the bar was offside anyway...........

It was a League 1 quality game for me but we've shown we can be better than that.

Interesting to see Iles confirm Oztumer was simply left out today, not injured. Not even warranting a place on the bench? Bit much that.

That's depressing. I genuinely didn't see 1 pass today by us that I would associate with a professional team.

Agree but score pen and we win 2-1 and with a midfield as bad as any in the championship.

Score the pen and we retreat even further, if that's possible. We concede a minimum 1 and don't see Doidge, whilst 1 of Donaldson or McGennis get subbed so that at 1-1 we have no outlet or possession. In hindsight, the pen miss worked in our favour.

Oztumer wouldn’t of affected that game today. In fact I don’t think many midfielders in the world would of, our midfield was bypassed for the entire game. I honestly can’t remember us stringing more than 5 passes together and if we carry on like that we’re in big trouble.

On a positive note, Donaldson was inpressive and Doidge took his goal well. Surely only a matter of time before he gets a run of games.

I fail to see how a player that can pass, shoot and take accurate free kicks as well as simply controlling a football can't influence a game in which as you say we didn't put any passes together. Which players in our history would have made us play better?

I agree there is no way otzumer should have been out of the squad today.

Thats PP for you we have been struggling as of late so he reverts to type 3-5-2 and hoof it long to big men in the box.

PP doesn't like flair in the middle in the same way Coyle didn't like a tackler

Apart from Donaldson’s assist for the equaliser, you mean?

They were better than us today so happy with the point

Score the pen and maybe we could have got 3 points? Doubt it though. They always had a goal in them

As mentioned above there's some right weapons go to our away games. If it's not the moaning bastards who seem to go simply to slag us off, it's the cunts who haven't yet started shaving but would love to think that they are 1970's hardcore, until they run and hide after causing problems. Sadly I'm getting to the point where awaydays are getting to be more mither than fun

It’s more a comment on our style of play rather than knocking oztumer. The 5 at the back works fine when you pass the ball out. Unfortunately for us we just lump it forward meaning the wing backs can’t get forward and we just get hemmed in for large periods.

Not a classic but another point on the board and a good day out too. If we’d lost, it would have been a massive blow but a point is decent.

quality finish from Doidge, a proper finishers strike. Let’s hope there’s many more to come

Surely you have to have flair as an option even if it’s only on the bench.

Not sure why you think there is no reason we can't beat forest. They dont lose away games (1 all season), we don't score goals at home. I'd take a point all day long.

Fucking hell, they’ve lost one in six (and drawn four) - that hardly makes them invincible!

We’ve only lost two in seven but I doubt anyone quakes when we come to town.

Give it up.

We were awful, and i guess you were there, so if u cannot see that, then stick to the rugby.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Yes I was there. You said you didn’t see a decent pass and then I provided an example.

That was a good, battling assist and I like Donaldson but I could have made that pass (I just wouldn't have won the ball in the 1st place). My point is there wasn't a pass by a Bolton player that a semi professional player couldn't execute. The type where you applaud knowing you couldn't do it yourself of the type that Oz, or Sammi or maybe Ireland can produce.

Goal was superb. the rest was poor. Why we setup like we are playing Real Madrid away week after week is beyond me.

I really see that as 2 points dropped again despite the awful record there!

People banging on saying if we score the pen? We didn't.

we are really missing a hard man, 23 should of been cleaned out early doors job done

Oz not even on the bench was strange. Even as an option as something different. Went the game with a Rotherham fan. He thought we shaded first half but both teams poor. They were on top after we missed penalty but he thought we looked more like winning than they did in last 5 minutes. Said seen worse there this season.

All in all fortunate point today Rotherham are a bottom four side all day long .They had two 'flair' players who gave us a hard time .Again the left back position looked dodgy which they exploited paticularly first half.We were slow to the second ball & creativity was zero apart from the goal which tbh came as a shock.

What Vela bring to the team I really dont know & the free kick he gave away in injury time was criminal & not punished fortunately

Apart from that good day out & a point gained.

A draw was a fair result between 2 teams who will probably be in the relegation dogfight.

If the penalty had gone in, i'd guess that we'd have gone on to win it, but at least we fought back for a point ( & 2 off them ) that could be priceless. I know we're trying something different but i'm not convinced with a 3-5-2 system with 2 wingbacks that were neither one thing or another, & 2 upfront won't work unless the 2 upfront are better & work together better than yesterday.........though Donaldson & Doidge looked to have more potential.

The plusses were Donaldson who caused them problems ( but was never on the same wavelength as Magennis )& a very lively effort from Doidge, not just the goal which he took beautifully, but he already looks to have improved ( & toughened up ) in the short time since he came to us. Like Oz, he's still adapting to the higher level, but they could both develop into very good players in the championship.

i'm still kinda worried , but it makes a change from not winning a game for 96 months like last season..

Fair points. I just think if Oz (or Sammi or Ireland) is playing he will drop short to link play and demand that we attempt to get some passing going. For me it should be nailed on that if ameobi is injured, Oz plays ( as sub absolute minimum) simply because nobody else in midfield has a basic ability to create or shoot.

Williams is going to have to step up a bit more if he’s going to be playing regularly. We missed O’Neil far more than I thought we would when he went off.

Would agree that it was a surprise that Oztumer was missing, though I’d have thought it might leave us a little light in midfield if we’re going to play two up top a little more often.
