For Millwall. it was a bit cheaper via Wigan, ,but just looked, & those have gone up now. I think City are in London that day which might have pushed train prices up.

My first away game without my dad, just me & a mate..I was 11. Shat myself when we couldn't find our coach after the match... I was hooked though! Used to love away matches in the 70s.

  • You can't take a view on today without taking account of missing that pen We were better than them and should've won Our goal is fantastic and hopefully gives doidge a massive boost

A surprise win, followed by a take over announcement.

4-0 Bolton

Just had a look again at train times - looks like the 13-16 is the last one up to Rotherham and there is only the 17-43 back to Sheffield.

we have found a good man to drive. So now in.

Aaargh, that last visit! About 37 diversions because of the floods, shite result then coming out to see that guy bricking the team coach. Festive cheer my arse!

I have never seen us win at Rotherham and I have been many times . First visit was in '73 ., we lost 1 nil . I was 15 and me and my mate  ( who was 14 ) caught a ribble bus from moor lane. Back in the day you didn't book tickets you just went to moor lane and got on a bus . Ribble just seemed to do it by supply and demand and put moor buses on as more people turned up ! It was scary for a 15yo too as Barnsley,  sheff Utd and Rotherham fans were all in the ground scrapping with Bolton fans.  I remember you could also freely walk around from one end of the ground to the other via the side paddock !!!

Anyway it is about time we got a result there . Would be nice to see doidge get his first goal,  perhaps in front of the away fans .

Anyone reccomend somewhere to park. I parked just outside the town centre when we got beat 4 - 2 in Lennon Time and someone vandalised my car ...smashed my wing mirror off. Still a lot of ill feeling between South York's and Notts ( my car has a Nottingham garage name on the number plate )

I parked on a church car park for that night game - basically get to the old Millmoor then turned left, followed the road round and up a hill. Not sure i'd find it again but was quiet up there. Cost a few quid to park, maybe £5

Cheers biggish

I just Google mapped Rotherham and found your church . I remember parking on that street back in the millmoor days.

I don't think I researched my parking enough before as it was quite a rough estate we parked on.

Quite an eye opener viewing Rotherham from Google's ' Satellite view'

Bloody hell I was going to drive but I’ve noticed my number plate is Notts too.

Travel club for me it is then.

in plus 3

I see the ref has changed - it’s now that idiot who reffed us against Bristol City in August. I reckon 4 of our 6 booking were through frustration over how bad he was

Reckon the trains have put a few off.

Feels like a key game for us at this stage of the season, some tough fixtures coming up. Could do with the points.

There's a map on here you can download which shows planned train services on Saturday

does that not suggest TP are running between manc and bolton?

either way, the TP from manc to sheff looks like being busy and therell be odd trains from and to sheff/rotherham

i thjink we will get a big taxi about 1.30

And 1 goal in 6 or 7 games doesn't exactly help.

It'll definitely be an all standing, angry stress box.  It often is at the best of times.

There’s gonna be a few Blades knocking about Sheffield station probably. They’re at Derby with a 5.30 ko. It’ll be nice to meet such lovely friends again.

I was at the same game at Milmoor also aged 15. We returned to where the coaches had dropped us off to find they had been moved! There was a group of Rotherham fans hurtling bricks at us wasn`t much fun particularly at such a tender age.
