I will continue to bang the drum for Nathan Jones until he's gone to a bigger club than us. Surely the next Dean Smith or Eddie Howe in terms of transforming clubs if not style of play. Also a shout out for Gareth Ainsworth, another proven manager consistently over achieving on a budget and the type of character you would gladly have in charge of your team.

I'd don't disagree with your point but the thread is about our next manager, it could be in 10 days or 10 years. I'm just putting a couple of names out there as an alternative to the usuals on the merry go round, who would probably be cheaper to employ and wouldn't be scared of having little or no budget. 

I’m unsure which way PP will look at this deep down.

Extremely lucky to still have a job?

He knows that in football these days he’d have gone twice.

Or is he actually doing a good job in the circumstances? Had we held on for another minute on Saturday we'd be out the bottom 3. Given the utter chaos, lack of investment and future uncertainty is that all that bad? Last time in this situation we sank, bottom, without a trace under Lennon. I hope and expect we'll at least put up more of a fight under Parky.

Mmmm, not a bad shout, he’d give the players a kick up the arse. But he’s a feisty little fucker and I’m not sure that Ken would go for somebody that answers back to him.

We’ve been going backwards since 2010 - maybe it’s time to bring back Roy McFarland

Normally get the train to work but have the car today. Can go via reading if Phil needs a lift.                      If he appoints David Lee just because he can't afford to pay anyone else even from league one etc then that's me done until this circus period is over

going one way with Parkinson only Ipswich making it not look as bad 

Its easy to let events off the field takeover but in reality the football is dire and that gets fans through the door 

If anyone can get something out of the 7 wingers we’ve got on the books then it’s Lee.

I really like Lee, he's a dead nice guy, but let's be realistic he's only ever managed at, or close to, the lowest level possible with the U23s. In our situation that's far too much of a gamble.

There'd be a lovely few days of the official site posting videos of every single jinking run he ever made in the run up to his first game though

He's coached.  He's never managed. Ever. Lets get this straight - he's coached the kids. That is his qualification to manage a club in crisis through a relegation battle and navigate January where we are sure to lose some players and will need to replace them with buttons, if at all.
