I was impressed with Connell, nice touch, can pick a pass and seems to have a low centre of gravity which stopped him being constantly muscled off the ball.

The sad thing is if he is good we will sell him as soon as we can.

Just a little green shoot like Connell tonight makes me feel better about the club, don’t take much.

That's all we need, just a little bit of hope

And rightly so.

although history would prove against your theory a thousand times.

the idea we sell players early has been proven wrong a thousand times

I can't see him starting many. Yet.

That said, maybe the kids aren't that bad after all.

Yep. Have we got a striker amongst the kids?

So, no

Connell has played left back for Irish junior nationals

Do we play him there

The next Joe Riley?

There is a few good young uns just can't see parky giving them much chance over his dad's army. Anyway youth cup 5th round v Leicester on Wednesday 7pm kick off get down to the UNIBOL or whatever its called and support the lads, it's the only thing we have a chance of doing well in this season. Only a fiver as well!

I may be able to make this

Is parking free?

Well impressed with Connell tonight. Looked like he knew what he wanted to do with the ball as soon as he picked it up and then executed it, unlike anybody else in a white shirt. Massive plus on an otherwise frustrating night.

Yes he looked good - is he another dwarf though?

I'd rather go with low centre of gravity.

Parkinson after match said noone at wing back was absolutely outstanding.  Anyone else remotely share that opinion?

He's deluded.

What matters is if Connell can play football not his height

Eden Hazard 5 ft 8, Mo Salah 5ft 9, Andre Iniesta 5ft 7 Sergio Aguero 5ft 8 - they'd have b een rejected by some on here because they weren't big enough,

Fill a midfield with 6 footers like Liam Trotter and Paul Comstive.... problem is if they are third rate with a football their height doesn't matter

Hopefully he meant no-one was outstanding. That I would agree with

Noone was no where near the standard he set last week. His corners were atrocious aswell.

surprised he played as expect him to play against reading.
