You still legally have to issue payslips ( whether you pay the salary or not )  on or around the due pay date , be that weekly or monthly - as the contract of employment states - so the tax or Ni that you are thinking you can save by not paying the salaries when due is still a liability of the business and continues to grow each month and interest will accrue daily on the overdue tax 

Part of me doesn't want another extension, I want a resolution to this one way or the other it's making me ill the never ending uncertainty and I'm sure others the same.

I agree, though to be honest, I'll be fucked if I'm letting them all make me ill.

What frutrastes me is that we had eventually taken the pain with our two relegations and cost cutting.  Appreciate income remained  modest but I thought the hard work had been just about done last year and we might consolidate.  

We won't be the last though, both Premier League and Championship are basket cases.  Swansea have published their full accounts today for 17/18.  In the PL they had operating losses of almost £1m PER WEEK, before player disposals, etc.   https://twitter.com/KieranMaguire .  Also lose £60m parachute next year for not getting back in the Prem this season.  Presumably WBA the same.

The disparity between money from the prem to other leagues is making it difficult for teams that go down. The example set by Burnley, has to be a blueprint for other teams. Not overspending and protecting the financial integrity of the club. Also important not to over react by immediately flirting the manager- especially if, like Dyche, he's got you there in the first place. Allowing time to continue to build and go again.

But when Dyche goes they might struggle and a new manager will want backing. That’s when the test comes. So far they’ve not done anything different to us at a similar stage.

I was pretty sure we paid wages late on the first of the month during this season

It was suggested at the time it delayed the due date to HMRC

They won't appoint a new manager who isn't prepared to accept the way the club is run though.

The have also been promoted, gone down and come straight back up, which is very different to what we did.

As is the huge personal investment from an owner to lift spending power beyond living within our means.

So quite different really.

Swansea issued statutory notice of redundancy to all their non-playing staff yesterday.

Dunno about that, they selling on at a massive profit (Keane and Grey) and reinvesting in good players at half the value of what they've sold (Gibson and Wood)

I don’t like Burnley but begrudgingly admire the way they go about their business and the way they play.

i really hope we are still 10 years ahead of them

you could argue Wood was an upgrade - according to Wiki - 20 in 59, whilst Grey has managed 11 in 57 for Watford

they've got some shit back up though like Crouch, Walters and Vydra - they'll definitely need to upgrade on them next season

or not, just keep the money in the bank and don't spunk it on shit that'll take you down and weigh you down

What I’m trying to say is they have to keep being shrewd and also lucky in the market, that won’t last forever they will go down sooner rather than later, luckily for them at the moment they continue to be shrewd and operate profitably, something we failed to do. 

I remember Burnley being called the next team of the 70s in a Football Magazine. I think that was way off the mark.
