We have no idea about the current level of debt as the accounts haven't been published for two years. The only thing we do know is that the business has been in the hands of a guy previously convicted for syphoning company funds into his personal accounts. And with Anderson handing out NDA's to everyone who has tried to invest in the club over the last two years, nobody who has had the chance to find out what's really going on has been in a position to talk about it.

That said, the chances of the Times having got the real inside story are negligible. This is a Murdoch company after all, a world in which the facts are usually irrelevant. It's just lazy journalism.

The real level of debt will eventually come out though.

Handing out NDA’s? It’s literally one of the first steps in M&A once a business decides they’re interested enough to find out more.

Nixon also mentioned that there is a new manager "hovering around" - whatever that means.

Question is, if there are really new investors on the scene, is the alleged new manager involved with them - because new owners would want to pick their own manager I'd have thought.

Don't disagree.

Problem with this is that there is so much emotion involved from the supporters. In reality we aren’t entitled to know until something concrete happens.

That's Simon Grayson, he was at the Blackburn game. Iles has thrown water over that one.

Nixon has just basically made a guess based on what been put out this weekend, he knows less than any of us on here.

True - and gagging orders can take many forms, have a wide range of sanctions and have many uses. I pointed it out because NDA's have been quoted as the reason for not telling us anything about what's going on more times than Ameobi uses his inhaler.

Because Iles knows what's really happening?

Frankly it's got to the point where nothing reported is credible but journos have column inches to fill and rumours are fair game.

Simon Grayson lives in Blackburn and his son plays for them so he won’t be manager

Okay.

Simon Grayson? Lazy journalism from Nixon, who exactly would be hiring Grayson?

Nixon didn't mention Grayson though. He mentioned "a manager".

I think the Times article doesn’t take into account the fact that ED wrote off £180 million.

He mentioned Grayson, it's in today's Sun.

Neverending this saga.

Bassini and FV both got far down the line and then collapse at the last hurdle after it’s hyped up in the media.

New buyers touted by Nixon and others when there’s a lack of other developments. These latest ones will probably get far down the line until just before the court deadline and we’ll probably get another adjournment out of nothing again. And this will all be put on repeat.

It’s nice to think that someone is out there who has actually got the wherewithal to do a deal and get us on stable footing but as it’s all unfolded I’ve become less and less confident that there’s a positive outcome for us.

I might be wrong on this but having been adjourned twice I dont think it will be again , especially given the length of time it was adjourned at the second hearing

The clock is ticking down and the Inland Revenue want their money

Yeh I was thinking that too and in some ways I’m hoping that’s what Ken and his lawyers are thinking, so that we do have an actual deadline, not these false ones that keep being set. Although it could be a very dangerous deadline for us if Bassini is off and these other parties are all talk and no action.

I keep thinking, surely this can’t be dragged on much longer but here we are, on the brink, clinging onto life.

So many questions, but even getting them answered doesn’t seem worthwhile anymore, as nothing seems to pan out how people say whether it’s Howard, Nixon, Galt, Iles, Ken, Basran, Bassini, inspector Goole, people with 6 years business experience, men in the pub or anyone else.

The only person who I can depend on to talk sense anymore is Mr Grey, at least I can laugh about slag wellies and tank tops a bit.

Still maintain a feeble optimism that we will get sorted out but rapidly fading.

I'm presuming a failure to pay wages means the debt to HMRC doesn't increase

Possibly a point to remember when folk are clamouring for the wages to be paid?

Existing debt increases further every day it's late.

Aye, but not by 1.2 million quid, or whatever is due on one months payroll
