Not wishing to say I told you so

But

Anderson wanted a stooge to prove his narrative that tyre kickers have been lining up for 2 years.

He made this one public to nail the message.

I'm no fan of his, but the facts are stacking up in his favour and that's not ideal.

Changing instructions, switching law firms, deal has to be done in a hurry, one million paid by a family member rather than him. Ticks pretty much every money laundering box.

Deal fails to go through, family member gets £1m of nice clean money back from the solicitors.

Nailed it

I forgot to mention the most obvious - he’s signed a contract to buy a club without having done full DD and having no idea what the debt is.

Who cares what the debt is if you have no intention of buying the club.

And if you’re bankrupt and have no legitimate cash, soon enough you have £1m of legitimate looking money.

All hypothetically, of course.

I’m not sure you can say that the facts are stacking up in KA’s favour

he’s also spent the last three years banging on about the importance of trying to live within our means. He’s then gone and signed players that are bringing our wage bill in at an estimated £700k a month. If he hadn’t have signed us up to those financial commitments then perhaps we could have paid the players and HMRC on time and would not have been in this situation

Bassini is looking like the crank that we thought he might be, it’s solely on Ken that we have had to take the desperate step to entertain him in the first place

He had to sign players in an effort to make us competitive.

People need to decide if they want ambition or thrift.

You can't have both.

As I have to mention in every post, KA is a knob, but I challenge anyone to run a football club like ours and emerge as a hero.

Not possible

Ah, ok, I missed the bit where we have spent beyond our means and become competitive

in fact, I’d bet you could halve that wage bill and we wouldn’t have lost many more games this season.

Ambition is great if the money is coming from somewhere, a rich benefactor etc. If it’s not then it has to be thrift

we might not play another game again, I doubt anyone of us will be turning around and saying “ow well, 150 years down the drain but at least we pushed Ipswich for that 2nd bottom spot”

Didn't want a hero, just an owner who wasn't a cunt and who was genuinely prepared for the job in hand, rather than a cunt, who has acted the cunt at every opportunity, and seemingly shifting the blame onto any other cunt.

As for signings, PP has said they were all his, a frugal owner should have said enough is enough, you'll have to play one or two youngsters, rather than bring in a couple of the disastrous panic signings that we saw late on.

I like ken

But you’re right he should have told Parkinson to fuck off when he wanted more and more players having failed early on to integrate new players or even consider them.

How can a Bolton fan say 'i like Ken'?

Only on WW. Unbelievable

We'll have to agree to disagree re Ken, but I agree with the PP comments.

Ken treated us all like a bunch of country yokels, he thought that if he signed a few players and then told us all how wonderful we were with his Chairman’s Notes and then got his used car salesman of a son to piss about in a club “Tracky” we would think he was great.

It's been mentioned by others but where are the ST?

You couldn't realistically expect them to show up with the money to sort things out but they should be having a major part in at least liaising with the dicks destroying our club or putting the fans view forwards and they are so impotent it's embarrassing.

Errm, they're just unimportant.

No doubt their hearts are in the right place and they are all BWFC fans at the end of the day.

But they just don't carry any clout.

You think they are sat on their hands doing nowt?

Nothing could be further from the truth.

They did try to liaise with Ken, with little joy, ken is a law to himself as we all now know.

I'm being thick here but how would Bassini benefit by his brother paying  £1million to a solicitor then getting it back if no deal?

Well, it’s all a hypothetical scenario (I’m not suggesting it’s the case here), but say person [y] has £1m of “dirty” money they can’t use because it’s come from a questionable source eg crime.

Person [x] enters into a contract (but has no money to perform it), then asks person [y] to pay £1m on his behalf. As the contract is never performed, the £1m isn’t needed, so the solicitors return the £1m to person [y] as “clean” money.

Person [y] says thanks mr [x], here is £200k for your trouble. Person [x] makes £200k profit*, person [y] now has £800k of clean money they can use, instead of £1m of dirty money they can’t.

Everyone is happy. Apart from the seller, who’s contract wasn’t performed.

*he might get sued for breach of contract, but he will claim he hasn’t breached it at all and that actually the seller is the one to blame.

Is the money clean just because you sent it to a solicitor and they sent it you back?

I thought there was much more to laundering money such as pumping cash through a business and paying tax on the ‘profit’ so you could declare it as income

It can be as simple as going in and out of a clean source, such as a solicitor, casino etc. That’s why there are significant ID checks for solicitors who incept new clients.
