For all the stick custard and fluffy get, at least they base their opinion on some facts

Folk saying it's dragging on, it's taking too long, what the fcuk is that based on

Nothing, that's what

Just frustration

Like kids waiting for Christmas

Harsh.

Apart from a couple on here, I expect none of us know what the average time frame is for a business to come out of administration.

What we all know though, is that the season is 18 days away. We have 6 senior pros, can't sign anyone else, season tickets, match tickets and merchandise aren't on sale. Of course folk are frustrated!

Aye, but it's like a contest to be most frustrated

Why say FV are dragging their feet, they want fcuking off, administrators are dragging it out

It's all completely groundless and doesn't help

I'd much rather read them 2 silly old buggers trying to make sense of stuff

Was that a complement, Casino? If so, I'm happy to accept it.

Trouble is the younger bretheren, one or two excepted, seem to be a bit slow on the  uptake.

Wasn't it the clubs administrators that published timelines to each stage of the process? looking at HoTs  to be signed such a date, (was it 2 weeks longer) club will have new owners by such a date etc.(still waiting for new owners)

That is where most of the frustration stems from, in my opinion anyway.

You do realise this is a website for all Bolton fans? Whether they be folk who left school at 16 with no qualifications or others who went onto Oxford uni

People don't always understand the on a and outs. It's not that they are slow on the uptake, they just don't know that side of things. I bet there's plenty who could explain what they do for a living in a way that would make you seem slow on the uptake as well

Though they wouldn't probably use childish terms like the beeno constantly either

Playing devils advocate for a moment, could it be that FV are simply creating an auction for the hotel to ensure a higher % payout to creditors.....? Possibly because those funds are required to complete the deal for the club?

As stated by many, the hotel is hardly a cash cow, possibly a handy way of hiding costs for FFP but doesn’t seem to be crucial to any plan other than the car park redevelopment.

If FV wanted it then they could’ve had it for a minimal sum by MJ crystallising his charge.

As they are separate legal entities I don’t think it matters if the hotel creditors are paid a minimum of £0.25 in the £1 like it does for the football side

Re the hotel, does the fun not begin when their customers have nowhere to park

Dont the car parks belong to either bwfc football or pbp?

If james wants the hotel, he can surely make it very unattractive for anybody else

Whilst it’s a legal entity in its own right id imagine the lease has some sort of agreement on access / parking

If I was buying the hotel in its own right, I’d be more concerned about someone buying the football club with the intention of flattening the lot for development

No sorry I mean they are driving up the bids to ensure MJ receives a higher % of his loan? A standard company admin doesn’t give fixed protection to secured creditors. ‘Twas just a thought.

There’s probably an easement on it.

Maybe you are not, but I'm often impressed by the foresight and professionalism of those who haven't had the benefit of a classical education and equally unimpressed by those who have. Its not very long ago that the Oxford educated chair of the BWFC ST was telling his audience that he didn't know where BWFC spent its money and invited his audience to draw their own conclusions.

Btw look up the word 'lampooning' and see if you can figure out what it means.

Just had to look that up

Guess you may be right, however, it's never been an issue before, so who knows

No

Though it may have been a compliment...

I guess we all have our weakness, but you and Sluffy do complement each other

Chevy Chase wants to buy the hotel?

Hopefully the time frame puts the hotel on the back burner and the club part can be sorted and soon. Surely for ST’s and some sort of legality’s the club has to have an owner by Wycombe?

In a chase with Smiffy, Simple Simon and the Oxford educated geezer with the 'Paul McCartney brown' hair who told the numbskulls that applauded him that Holdsworth spent a million quid on fees?

Why cant we?

Portsmouth did, when they were on same boat.

Also I'm sure we can sell tickets when in Admin',

Other businesses trade reasonably normal when in Admin'

Because there is nothing in the kitty. We can't pay the players we've got. The administrators can continue to trade the business if there is cash or income suitable to do so. In our case there isn't. Its effectively insolvent. As Sluffy has outlined from the admins report.....

As I understand it someone would need to inject some capital to run the business

Wonder how long Oztumer, Matthews plus the other contracted players will stay with us for if they don't get paid at the end of this month? Can administrator even help pay there wages? Surely there is only so much loyalty you can give before having to move elsewhere

Posted

You’d assume that we could pay the bills (including 5 pro players) if we were to sell say 5k season tickets

It’s a chicken and egg situation but it won’t get any easier if we don’t start taking money through the till
