Never really been arsed about villa fans previously but singing "empty seats" 40 seconds into a match against a club that's on its fucking knees that was hours away from going to the wall and 90 minutes away from relegation is pretty sad and really really obvious as to why there's empty seats.

PP got us up on the biggest budget and probably the strongest squad in the division. Just.

!st half was a good effort, mostly stopped a good Villa team playing & even had a couple of half chances, shut the Villa fans up, & also a good effort from our fans to get behind the team.

Sadly, it was the same story, once Villa scored we were never coming back & the more we pushed forward, the more likely it was that they would score more. None of our players would get in their squad & there's a good chance there'll be 2 divisions between us next season, so this was no disgrace.

Grealish........he's very dislikeable, but he was the best player on the pitch & Connell should watch & learn from a video of his performance. Connell mostly looked out of his depth today, but showed some promising moments against a good side. It's still early days for him !!!

Connell had poor game id have had vela on the bench at least,  but think he should of started today and I’m not his biggest fan,  he’d of help close down grealish unlike Connell.

Vela was on the bench, wasn’t he? Which made it all the more baffling that Magennis came on for O’Neil. 

Played ok first half, but they didn't really have to do a great deal to step it up and win.

First half villa were in first gear. Minute they stepped it up we parted like the seas.

What goes through Parki's mind when picking that team  is absolutely  beyond me. The team was devoid of pace craft and creativity. Anyone with any of those attributes are on the bench or not even making that! Little, Oztumer, Vela, Murphy should all be in and around that side for me. Buckley is so league 2 it almost hurts. Think Ozzie did more in two minutes than Buckley in 90.

 

First thing Bassini should do for me is sack Phil. I appreciate what he did to keep us up, but enough is enough. He looks a broken man and can not motivate himself never mind the rest of the squad. We need someone in who can bring more young players through.

 

Worrying thing for me is just how many new players we need. The lack of pace in the side is frightening, especially in wide areas and up top. A big summer indeed is required

He would have failed to pass accurately, unlike Connell. Our 1 shining light and you would replace him so that we had 10 outfield players that can't pass or shoot? That's the ultimate Parky line up surely.

Should have been Oz clearly but before the game I said I wanted Bassini to see the real Parky and he didn't disappoint.

He is head and shoulders above anyone else in the Championship. Effortless, proper natural footballer and a complete shithouse. He's got the lot and it all goes his way. I'd hate him if I didn't want him to do the business for England one day.

It surprised how much he looks like an ‘athlete’ whereas I wouldn’t fancy the chances of our our midfield in a stiff breeze. McGinn coasted through the game as well. In fact it makes you wonder how Villa were struggling earlier in the season. 

Grealish fancies himself as an extra in Peaky Blinders. And as for playing in ankle socks...

This is what we don’t have in our team at the moment, when Donaldson was in space second half 5 yards outside box, villa CH just chopped him, currently we don’t have players doing the dirty stuff and that’s why we are so easy to play against.
