April 18, 20197 yr Remember us being main game playing Blackpool in 1st round of FA cup, early 90s. Think we lost 2-1
April 20, 20197 yr Would I be correct in recalling the Bolton Sheffield United game in 1970/71 as being on Granada ? Sure it was that game - Remember it because I was there and as young kids we watched ourselves waving at the camera by the corner flag when it was shown the next day and am sure that was the game that Ian Seddon scored a cracking goal

May 5, 20197 yr In 68 my dad bought a colour tv he was a Leeds fan,so I guess I saw those games and Burnley for some odd reason but i recall my dad enthusing about the lion and the plumber and telling me about the best match ever obviously the 53 final So I’m guessing we were playing Preston and it was televised tho still convinced it was in black & white ???
May 9, 20197 yr Happy memories of the Sunday afternoon Granada programme hosted by Gerald Sinstadt. It was always a thrill when I could watch highlights of a match I'd been to the day before. Used to watch it wearing my scarf - yes I know! The Sunderland game stands out because of that header and Gerald Sinstadt saying something like 'what a happy boy' as big Sam celebrated.
May 9, 20197 yr given the home tie was my first actual game, guessing it must've been the Southampton FA Cup replay in 92, seem to recall watching it, but not 100% sure it was on TV that night

Brighton in the 4th round of the FA cup in 1992 when all their chosen games were frozen off. Took my girlfriend to that for her first and last experience of a Bolton match. Treated her and went posh in the Manny Road seats. Cost me £5.50

May 9, 20197 yr Spurs at Burnden . We won 1-0 . Roy Greaves winner. Place went mental. Made up it was on tele. Went home after a few pints. Asked me mum to wake me up when MOTD started. She let sleeping dogs lie. Woke up following morning , still haven't seen the bloody goal.

Had'nt seen yours pal.😂
May 10, 20197 yr I remember the Newcastle first FA cup replay being on soortsnight in 76 (0-0). I also recall that we were usually rubbish when the TV cameras were involved. The big van outside Burnden was always a great buzz usually followed by our worst performance of the season. The Spurs win in 77 was a notable exception.
