Boris Johnson in court

Typical. No doubt they've had to scour for a Remainer judge in Margot Coleman to get it this far.

The very fact they've done this shows how much they fear him. I hope he waltzes the C & UP leadership election now just to piss them off.

Maybe one enemy too many but there's always hope. Let's hope the members see through this and move further towards him than further away.

If they parade all of the 'liars' (read exaggerators) from both sides of the referendum campaign through the courts it will bind the judiciary up for years.

As a single "fact", the £350m wasn't incorrect. It was just far from the whole truth. Surely they'll need more than that to get him?

Anyway, I don't want him in the job, just think there's too much baggage now.

Wow. Just wow.

Was waiting for that.

The rest of the information about the rebate was missing. That's why they put it there without the rest. I assume you knew that.

One of the MPs responsible explained that when questioned, as a means of justification. Which was a silly, disingenuous approach on his behalf.

Thus Farage et al we're more than happy to confirm the full truth.

As a statement in itself however it was true.

Or are you too numb to understand the point?

Good Lord! If every politician HAD to tell the truth about policies and manifestos then they'd all be in court at the end of every GE hustings.
Strange that for BoJo it has been declared "misconduct in public office" but for the rest of parliament it is known as "putting 'spin' on the facts"

"We send the EU £350M a week..."

Could you point out how stating we send the EU £350M a week - when we never did and never have is in any single way true?

The thing is that Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is an idiot, even by foreign born, dual nationality, Eton educated ponce standards. If he was intelligent, diplomatic or even had a handle on what's happening in the real world then he could be a potential leader of the country, but he's none of the above.

As for the £350 million a week business, he might well have believed it at the time because that's what Cummings told him to say and keep on saying (along with the million Turks that were going to move in next door) but it's peanuts in the scheme of things seeing as Brexit has cost us £600 million a week every week since the referendum and God knows how many jobs already. And that's before the JIT dependent British Automotive Industry goes tits up with another 900k jobs at risk.

The prosecution has submitted evidence that proves Johnson knew the £350M figure was an outright lie, but continued to repeat it anyway.

Plus the £45m he spunked of public money on a bridge that only he, his mate Joanna Lumley and her architect mate wanted

And the water cannons

Don't worry though Brexit and the country will be in safe hands because he did a 'comedy tackle' in a football match

Whether the facts above are correct or not those didn't influence tens of thousands of voters (maybe hundreds of thousands who knows) to vote leave. Boris knew he was deliberately misinforming the public when it could be proved without any doubt that he was wrong and he should be punished as such. If this loses him the chance of being PM then we have all dodged a bullet

Here are some proven lies that were intended to influence people's votes. As such the piffle spouted by remoaners about "lies" is utterly breathaking and hypocritical. They are all from your fellow sour remoaner George Osborne.

A vote to leave the EU alone would lead to a year long recession - LIE

820,000 jobs would be lost within two years just on a leave vote alone - LIE

A leave vote alone would cause an immediate and profound economic shock with growth between 3 and 6 per cent lower - LIE

Wages would fall by 2.8 per cent on a vote to leave alone. - LIE

House prices would fall by 10 per cent - LIE

When it comes to analysis of who said what during the 2016 referendum campaign, holier than thou remoaners  have absolutely no room to talk. You are a bunch of utter hypocrites. You attempted to scare people to death. Those people roundly ignored you and your self important predictions. And you have been demonstrably proven wrong. Why the fuck should we believe anything any of you ever say again? What's more you were getting it wrong right from the early 1990s disaster of joining the European Exchange Rate Mechanism onwards. Left to you, you'd have had us in the disastrous Euro.

Lies, lies and more lies. Deliberately misinforming the public. Sore-losing desperados. When are you going to get the messages that trying to scare people with your lies has the opposite effect to the one you intend? You never will. Con-artists the lot of you.

Now take us through all the lies that the Leave campaign spouted? I'll start you off

1. The EU trade deal will be the easiest thing in the world to negotiate

Over to you...

We'll not take any lectures from the likes of you when it comes to lies in the referendum campaign. People like you seek to annex the moral high ground - but the double standards are breathtaking.

Focus on getting your own house in order before you start trying to pick other apart. With a history of failed economic predictions like you remoaners have, why should we believe you're anything but the busted flush you clearly are?

Over to you ....

Here's two you seem to be struggling to recall.

"This is a dangerous fantasy. The idea that there is going to be a European Army is simply not true." - Nick Clegg

"An emergency budget would be required upon a leave vote alone" - George Osborne.

Lies. People saw through them.

Over to you....

The EU isn’t struggling

The EU welcomes all migrants

The EU doesn’t want an EU army

Game,set and match.
