Saw this earlier. Seems he struggled with his demons, and now wants to put something back.

Yes probably time he had a different goal to aim at in his life. Poor fella.

Aye, but it makes you wonder whether clubs should make more of an effort to look at the mentality/psyche of players. 

It’s easy to say that someone was shit, I just wonder if e.g. Sam could have been a support for somebody like Sordell.

Big Laurence knew the deal and gave a partial refund. Good chap.

Was she stood in goal? 

I’m surprised he’s still only 28, how long is it since we signed him? 8 or 9 years?

His record was better than I thought too, was it distorted by scoring twice in some games?

I always thought he looked decent for us but clearly football wasn’t his thing. Hope he’s happier in his next adventure 

The Wanderer podcast when they interviewed him was quite a difficult listen. I have a lot of sympathy for him

Feel for him on the mental health side of things, but I can’t remember a single goal, assist, anything about his playing career with us apart from that prick Coyle not playing him and bringing him on at Stoke with 10 min to go.

Had a stormer at Sunderland away in the Cup. Vela’s best game in a white shirt as well. Since then I’ve concluded that I must have been sat next to a unicorn that night.

Maybe he should've done more for him

I’ve got every respect for Sordell with regards to the awareness he’s putting in for mental health and other issues that he’s faced.

I get that my previous point might seem contradictory, but fuck me, does he love being a martyr or what? I’m surprised he lasted as long as he did in football.
