January 2, 20206 yr The fanzone used to be stewarded by Bolton club stewards who actually knew many of the fans and even if they didn't, weren't averse to a two way conversation. This guy acted as though he was policing a political arena rather than a room full of Bolton fans.

On a connected matter , this newly launched " White Horse" ale that Bank Top Brewery have produced exclusively for BWFC that is now on sale in the Hotel and at the ground ..anyone tried it ? .... whats the verdict ? Only ask because someone ( who should know ) in the Hotel Bar told me on New Years Eve when we asked for a pint that its not quite what it appears to be ... and that all Bank Top have done is simply rebadge some of its " Flat Cap " ale on behalf of the club ? Anyone know If there is any truth in this ? They have White Rat at Tavern on the Hill

January 2, 20206 yr This interview with KH after the game, it's been suggested he's holding a bottle of ale, evident towards the end. Can't see it, surely be something soft, what do folk think?

January 2, 20206 yr Re bank top, they just sell the barrels. The folk selling them can stick whatever they want on the pump.

We all do jobs every day, if I do my job well my boss doesnt say its OK to come to work in boxer shorts, and only if I make a few mistakes should I dress appropriately to compensate. If we are winning 5-0 and the manager is swearing and spitting and picking fights on the touchline, does it not matter? Certain standards should be met if you're a figurehead of BWFC for me. In fairness to Parky (I'm his biggest critic) he always represented the club well in his general demeanour and respect for the club. It matters. There are far worse crimes, but I'd prefer the manager not to look like he's just nipped out to put the bins out and I feel like he'd command more respect from the players if he dressed like a football manager.
January 2, 20206 yr He could wear a mini skirt and string vest for me as long as he does the business

But that's not uncommon on New Years Day, and not just at Bolton, especially 3 days after the previous home game. Let's be honest who got up on NY Day buzzing to go to the game? Holiday games just dont have the feel of Saturday games and in our situation, and playing teams we dont care about, its going to take a lot to get the crowd going. To be fair we got something approaching an atmosphere in the last 15 minutes.
January 2, 20206 yr I did find it bizarre that they used the metal detector on my 6 and 3 year olds. Don’t get it at all. Kids were a bit intimidated by it all. Is the the Trust or the Club who run Fanzone?
