Just listening to practice nurses triaging calls in primary care. 'Isolate, isolate, isolate' all day.

I think we'd have had more deaths if we'd had 4,000 cases?

That test in arrear will clarify

Absolutely not the case at the surgery i know well

No word of a lie, its dead mate

And as you well know, many getting attention and advice at that stage havent got CV

I reckon northerners have this shit nailed.

Carry on.

so how long do you think before we “turn the tide?” 12 weeks or much longer?

I don't know mate. I'd say it would take longer than 12 weeks though. The virus isn't going anywhere and we won't have a vaccine by then. It's possible the weather might be a mitigating factor - but then we'd expect it to come back next winter. Just can't see this being a quick fix

I also reckon it's more widespread than even the top estimates with a higher percentage of people being either asymptomatic or with really mild symptoms. They'll do antigen testing soon - and I wouldn't mind betting they'll be surprised how many people have already had it but not realised.

When princess Diana died, there was a drop in GP visits/appointments. I would assume there's evidence of similar drops at other major incidents.

Seriously, when you get a minute check iplayer

5 live about 6pm

An anti malaria drug and a wide ranging anti virus drug

Looking very very positive

Both licenced so no need to delay their use on people taking nothing else

He was a research doc from lancaster uni

Hope I was just on a freak run of calls then. The surgeries are dead but is that not just because most people are phoning and not being seen face to face?

Spoke to a mate of mine at the hospital earlier and he said it's eerily quiet up there. People just aren't attending A&E.

Not many back injuries from bog roll carrying

Thank fuck those Hollywood celebrities recorded a video of themselves singing 'Imagine' whilst self-isolating in their mansions. I didn't realise how serious this shit was until I watched that.

I know you know im well informed

Until monday, it was busy

Since then, its very quiet

Possibly people are just self isolating rather than bothering the doc

Dunno if you remember the practice, but its got plenty of folk who think nothing of mithering the doc every day

It's quite simple really.

Folk don't visit medical facilities as much when bad shit happens.

Dunno why but numbers drop off.

Couple it with restrictions on seeing gps anyway, and surgeries will be quiet.

My practice have sent out texts telling folk to stay away, you won't be admitted to the surgery.

Matt Hancock seems to be doing OK+

Are you out in the community now? Thought you were on a ward?

Im on about the phones

The practice nurses definitely arent getting bombarded

Fwiw, theyd be better off mucking in with kent, but thatd be a right shock to the system

Kent said triaging

Triaging is being done by phone

Folk arent ringing up

I know

It doesnt stop you ringing up and being put through to nurses or doctor to telephone triage

And the surgery is still seeing folk who have been triaged

Tomorrow they also have loads of phone calls booked to patients who they have advised not to attend

I hope to god casino is right.

i thought trump and BoJo seemed much more relaxed today.

lets put it this way, if it turns out we can get back to normal in a month, what a fucking summer it could be.
