That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

Some mouth breather was getting turfed out of Morrisons this morning and booted a cleaners cone which nearly hit me, so was very nearly returned with interest. Blaydon Races would be more apt in Swinton given the visitor that Royal White mentioned last night.

Here's a morbid thought

Most of those that die from here on in, Corona or otherwise, probably won't get a proper funeral

I’m gonna prep my funeral suit to me fully lined with weed. And then cremate me and boom Overdale high cemetery

I can't decide if I want to be buried or cremated

So asked my family to surprise me

What about half and half?

if you get cremated ,you've no chance of coming back as a zombie, just saying

I know this but im stuck between:

Buried with chance of zombie uprising

Or.

Cremated, sprinkled back into the earth and maybe a shot at reincarnation

Was about to post the same. Tbh not taken any notice of him before but fair play to him he’s come across very well

Unlike a lot of folk I’ve always had time for Andy Burnham with living in Manc. Always been OK for me. Tonight he’s the only one being a political points scoring bellend. Shame

good observation, had the same feeling  myself.

If someone off here doesn’t snort or smoke my ashes I’ll be very disappointed

I don't care one way or the other. I'm dead. Do whatever those that care (or dont) need to do.

I figure a funeral is for those still alive to say goodbye in their way, not mine.

have you lost someone very close to you?

regarding funerals, it's going to get messy. I've got 3 likely close relatives going to pass away in the next few months ,but can't see how they are going to get proper send offs.

I’ve just been to tesco to fill the car up as was on reserve. Whilst there thought I would pop in to the store see what it was like.

I had a look around for the posters advertising the see how much stuff you can ram in a trolley competition. I couldn’t see them. Just stood there looking at some of the cretins and shaking my head

can somebody please answer me has there been a directive that supermarkets are closing at lunchtime today and there is no more food supply? Have I missed something?? Cos I really cannot compute this shit and the behavior and stupidity of folk

Burn them, with fire.

I’ve just had a letter off the daughters primary school about the closure.

The reverend has also sent a letter. Now I’m not a particularly religious chap, but the letter itself has just absolutely floored me.

The rev. quite rightly mentions that this is an event unlike anything they or their parents have ever faced. And that they may be scared.

Brings home the magnitude of what’s happening. I can handle it but the kids are going to get scared.

Dusty in here now.

Gay.

n.b. no offence to the gay community - who are no doubt much less gay.

Owner of newsagents near me said he had a old bloke (late 80s or so) in this morning struggling with a bloody suitcase stocking up. Probably seen all the hoarding wankers plastered over the news and panicked. Poor sod.

Quite the ripple effect.

Hang him, with rope.

I don't know mate. I'd say it would take longer than 12 weeks though. The virus isn't going anywhere and we won't have a vaccine by then. It's possible the weather might be a mitigating factor - but then we'd expect it to come back next winter. Just can't see this being a quick fix

I also reckon it's more widespread than even the top estimates with a higher percentage of people being either asymptomatic or with really mild symptoms. They'll do antigen testing soon - and I wouldn't mind betting they'll be surprised how many people have already had it but not realised.

Heard the bit about malaria drugs and some other drugs, sounded positive, at least as a treatment stop gap until vaccine could be developed.

but, genuine question on the weather issue that people bring up, if the nicer / warmer weather affected it, why would it be spreading so fast in countries that are having the type of weather we can expect, ie Italy and Spain are probably already having the temps now we will have on a nice period of weather and why is it spreading in Australia, South America etc ? just can’t get why it would be and always thought that it wasn’t the weather per se that caused colds and flu to spread but more that people were inside in closer proximity to each other in the cold weather ?

There is no point looking at the number of confirmed cases as an accurate assessment of how many people may have it. It’s been said above, it’s just not reflective of the reality. I know of a number of people here in London who are in self isolation having developed symptoms and who are quite likely to have it. I know people who have tested positive for CV. Here in the smoke, it is an issue that really is affecting us.

Fair enough , but we won’t be expecting many days over 28 in the near future either  tbf and the nicer weather that’s coming here that is giving people hope of slowing it will be the same (ish ) as Spain now I’d imagine , so it probably won’t have any effect

be hotter than that in some places it’s spreading though

heres hoping those drugs do work and the antibody test kit they were also on about

Thank fuck those Hollywood celebrities recorded a video of themselves singing 'Imagine' whilst self-isolating in their mansions. I didn't realise how serious this shit was until I watched that.

Disfigure them, with easily obtainable caustic agents.
