I did read somewhere that Whitty and Valence wanted a school return after Easter, which just rips Bojo's "we listen to the science" to shreds, Politicians across all parties do NOT listen.

Hopefully whitty put that one to bed for you. Journalist in not letting the truth stop a bollocks article shocker.

Boris “all the evidence says schools are safe” lying bastard.

The evidence says otherwise. Jenny Haries explained it several weeks ago.

Chris Whitty just explained the schools thing really well and passionately as a journalist had misquoted him on the subject previously.

I hope he refuses any more comments to the cunt. Shit stirring like this erodes public confidence, should lock the fucker up for a few weeks.

That isn’t what you said. I can have it. But chances are I might well die. I’ve less chance of dying from covid so I will take my chance on that front.

agree anyone who isn’t having it cos they are an anti vaccer or whatever can just fuck off. Pricks

Based on current numbers it's about a 0.0009% chance

Your call though, obviously

What would happen if covid passports were introduced?

I would get an exemption. I’ve nearly died from both vaccines I’ve had in my life. Pretty sure that renders me exempt and a much higher risk that 0.0009%. Given currently I’ve a 100% strike rate when it comes to being hospitalized by vaccinations.

He would get a medical exemption I would presume.

Ask a dr.

Schools need to reopen. But all kids back in at the same time is asking for trouble

I’ve really no need to ask anyone unless I need an exemption certificate then I will get one.

the only vaccine I’ve considered since then was rabies before I went traveling and was advised not to have it given my medical history so I didn’t. Even when I was bitten by a dog In Indonesia I still Didn’t have the rabies jab. Not worth the risk

I don’t believe I will even get called for it if it’s generated/verified by my GP. You would imagine they would have been asked to ear mark people for exemptions already anyway as they’ve gone through the priority groups.

There is a culture somewhere, in which anyone stung by a scorpion eats it so as to prevent any harm from the sting.

Hope you ate the dog!

Too busy swearing and shouting after the fucking thing whilst hopping around. Made a right mess it did.

didn’t hurt massively until the morning after when I woke up and my leg was black and blue all the way up. Was quite a job trying to explain to the doctor not to inject me I must say. But they cleaned it out and dressed it for me. Was quite ill for a week or so a few days after it as well.

Every chance your gp won't call you but a big centre might

I am convinced that the scientists think that the virus will significantly reduce transmissions but as yet there is not the data to prove this. It has been alluded to numerous times.
By the end of the week we should be close to 20m injected, so approx 33% of people not only mainly protected from serious symptoms but also no longer 'spreaders'.

That is the game changer. Obviously till this is proven can not base strategy on it.

Any idea what Norway are doing

Not yet, mate.

The Oz thing is a little clearer, as noises from Australia say "we're hopeful of re-opening in early 22"
Which basically says Jan 1st is highly unlikely.

I did wonder about that and was going to PM you to ask just that! So well mind read.

What in your case?

Dunno, I'd want to find out more about the risks to me and what caused my issues in the past

In any case, I'd put me down as a lesser priority than the vulnerable getting vaccined and kids going back to school, so in answer to the original question i still don't think it works both ways

But I don’t have kids so not fussed if they don’t go back for two years as it doesn’t affect me was my point. Same way as me being stuck at home while your down the pub having been vaccinated wouldn’t be a concern of yours as it doesn’t affect you. So it works both ways

Just booked my first jab for Friday. Will maybe start to get giddy once had second. Til then I’ll just carry on as normal.

Schools affect us all because they're the priority in terms of opening up

Nothing else is happening till they are back and it's proven to be safe

There's no scenario where pubs are open and schools are closed

And you can get an exemption

It may not be what i said but i meant people who don't want the vaccine are of no concern to me unless they want the same privileges as those who have, they don't deserve them

but if you're medically exempt fine

Still open, but 14-day quarantine on arrival

She says they check for people like you and would probably encourage you to take it with everybody primed to respond

Either way, give em a call is her advice

Don't just turn up at a big place...I know you wouldnt

This thing had almost gone in August. Started to climb again in September, when the kids went back

There's always a lag in the numbers - try eat out to help out... packing them in in pubs and restaurants during August

No. Called to GP surgery. Mrs has heard the same as someone posted a while ago that you can rock up at the Etihad late in the day and they have spare vaccines (presumably Pfizer ones) that need using up thanks to folk not turning up so she’s gonna have a go at that. Assume that I’m having the AZ one as the surgery started late but have cracked on really quickly. Appointment slots are only 10 mins apart
