Good Horizon episode on BB2 last night outlining why building up herd immunity quickly can give us a really good chance of returning to more normality sooner. Leaving millions unvaccinated only gives the virus a much higher chance of running rampant and mutating into something that won't work on the current vaccines. Then we could be back to square fucking one before we know awaiting another roll out.

Jabbed !   Only received the letter yesterday, went on the online thing & was given a choice of times from as early as today (& an appointment for the 2nd jab in May ) at a chemist in Darwen. 

Absolutely painless, i didn't realise he'd done it, & so far no side effects at all.

That's my concern with opening up schools and easing before at least all priority groups have had one, and even then, there'll be loads of unvaccinated in crowded beer gardens

Fucking unbelievable how many folk have since said that they know someone who’s had a sore arm/been in bed for a week after it/ had thunderous headaches/ etfuckingcetera. Oooohhhh are you sure you’ve done the right thing having it so soon?? 

I totally get folk like Esco who appear allergic to the excipients of vaccines worrying about themselves, but why do others then tell other folk that they should be worried? Madness

Apparently no one in Poland has had a vaccine yet , because of availability

And most people in Russia don't want a vaccine developed in Russia, not unless Putin has it first

It certainly raised an eyebrow for me too. However, as schools go first, should numbers increase significantly, the next steps will be delayed as the 4 tests won't be met.

Got to start somewhere and sometime though, and it seems a reasonable approach overall.

Agree with your last bit it’s mind blowing. I’ve told my missus she should get it ASAP as soon as it’s offered to her. And I even made her grandparents get on with it as they were fucking about. It’s a no brainer. Although maybe that’s the issue! No Brains

Those scenes from the Belgian vaccination centre on the bbc yesterday were eye opening. One person in all day in a venue that should do thousands per day.

Shortage of supply and folk being selective. Idiots.

Had my AZ on a Thursday evening. Felt great until Saturday - bit woosie but nothing proper. Only thing was couldn’t shoot my load then went soft on the job. Never happened before and been fine since. Weird.

What vaccine are they using in China then?

Or Russia?

Russia are using the Sputnik-5 vaccine iirc. 91% efficacy

China are using Sinovac/Sinopharm

The FDA in the US have just approved the Johnson&Johnson one-dose vaccine, can't be long until we do also
