Aye Ive stated a few times that i think theres a few not covered themselves in glory, probably civil servants as much as politicians But theres no way the politicians want doctors and nurses at risk They might not be very good, up for debate, but theyre not deliberately leaving them short Quote

Of course not, but she helps Covid-19 patients every day, direct contact. Plenty of co-workers are off either with it or symptoms. Those self isolating are tested and if negative then they are back to work. So far she has no symptoms but unless I am missing something you can spread it well before then. We are told testing is key then surely those looking after positive (or likely positive such as care home workers) cases should be tested regularly? Quote

only1swanny Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Nutshell? THe corona of the virus latches on using a protein based hook it opens up like a little foot and grabs on.., the antibody part of the vaccine needs a way of making it so that the host cells repel the hooks, basically it can't latch on. (That was one way they were approaching a vaccine, not certain if this is that way or not) .. I'm assuming there is also to normal way of getting the body to produce white blood cells that can kill it, before the virus gets in there... Quote

only1swanny Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Yeah. got a cracking rendering of the virus clamping on if anyone is interested.. Cleaning industry is going crazy trying to figure out how best to kill it on the outside... but if it can't latch on, it can't replicate itself.. Quote
