BD's the leader? News to me...

I want to know who the 'magnificent seven' (not the cowboys, or bombers), the usual suspects (not Byrne, Del Toro et al) and the red hand gang (not the yank kids) are comprised of..?

He wasn’t self isolating he was Driving to Durham. He self isolated when he got there. Do keep up

Hang on, he had the virus, it’s quite clear to me...

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR HOME FOR ANY REASON

Perhaps he should have had someone pick his kids up if he wasn’t well enough to look after them

Also from the NHS link...

To protect others, you must stay at home if you or someone you live with has symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19).

This is called self-isolation.

You need to remember this is what they were going to do at the outset. Herd immunity.

Would it be something of an inadvertent master stroke if all this left them with no choice but to do it as the people have decided that’s what they are doing. And they can open up the economy and save a lot of money in the process?

just a thought

Boris is a spineless shithouse

He backed away from that policy

just as he’s cowering to protect Cummings now

I think this is a big error of judgement

You missed the humour in my response evidently

if he had covid symptoms he’s put his elderly parents are risk and if the kids hadn’t been around him but were forced into a four hour car journey with him whilst he had them then he’s not fit to be a parent for me never mind an advisor to the government

I think you’re right he’s dropped a huge bollock here. But you the wonder why? Boris isn’t daft but he seems to want to protect Cummins.

but for balance sturgeon wouldn’t sack Catherine calderwood the cmo either. She actually refused to  accept her resignation first time round.

what’s interesting up here is how her supporters are apoplectic about boris but have forgot she did the same til calderwood walked

Boris- what the fuck was that?

Bonkers.

I'd have sympathy for Cummings if the situation had become more serious, but there is help available and I can't get my head round the supposed lack of support which made him travel.

That not withstanding, this for me is a serious mistake. Steve Baker gave a good interview on it this morning (even if his personal disregard for Cummings came out!).

I just hope that Cummings now respects Boris' loyalty and repays it by resigning.

It'll come back to bite him, people aren't happy about this.

I never had you down as one of the reactionaries, BD.

The 'ooh! aren't we right-wing' lot...

He's a snake (Cummings).

Reminds me of Mandelson.

In more ways than one, him even having a wife and kid surprised me.

Ha

To be clear; I think he should go.

I think you complimented me.

@boltondiver

I don't because he'll weasel his way back in regardless, pulling strings from darker still shadows.

I'd rather keep him where we can see him.

It was a compliment - I may not always agree but usually your arguments, until lately, have decent reasonings.

You're right about that, but to be honest, I'm not arsed about haggis clout.

As PM, I think he's got this wrong. Admirable loyalty perhaps, but on the face of it, hugely misguided.

He looked irritated by some of the questioning but must have been expecting it.

It also overshadowed the briefing which may well keep happening for some time yet.

One observation I've made though, is that there are a good number of photographers and reporters who also want fucking off for being unwilling to social distance!

Bojo demonstrating the biggest lack of judgement in management since Coyle started Elmander in centre midfield against Stoke at Wembley in the FA Cup semi final

And we know how that ended

Only just catching up on this

Dear God. The very definition of a clusterfuck

Ive really seen no reason to criticise Boris and the govt during this whole time. We have had nothing to properly compare it to. It needed a proper inquiry at the end to learn lessons, not mud-slinging whilst it is still happening

But this is just shit. Massively wrong decision. I wouldn’t have any problem whatsoever if Starmer came in properly windmilling at Boris over this. No problem at all

Ok, so to be clear, does anyone think Boris was right to support Cummings, and/or Cummings was ok to do what he did?

Depends. Are you asking my honest opinion or one to rile the magnificent seven? Polar opposite answers

I’ve been steadfast in my opinion since it came out. He has to go and boris has got this very very wrong. I think dom has played it quite cleverly and flouted the rules whilst thinking he had it boxed off.

But in public office in the role Hes played in the rules we live by currently he has to go. Totally untenable and boris could possibly lose his job also in due course by having to resign also. Sadly for me

He's not Trump daft but he boasted about shaking hands with CV sufferers then spent two nights in an ICU

So having a BBQ suddenly becomes ok just because Boris didn't do as the sheep

of Britain demand?

You'll fit in well around here...

You've already got two badges of the 'ooh! aren't we right-wing' collective.

1. Using the term 'sheep'.

2. Referring to Alexander Cedd Sulaiman Pettigrew Boris DePfeffel Johnson as 'Boris' - next time use Bojo, you get a badge with a star on for that.

Same person who was vilified for walking past people in corridors by the media? That person you mean? You get my drift
