That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

So you’re just doing it for kicks then? Again, crack on. 👍

Obviously Michael. I'm temporarily on your shitty side saying Cummings needs to go.

Yes.....and a slight blip when I teamed up the stupid lefties re Cummings 😉

Have a good one chap, I'm off to Durham now...chin chin 🍾🍾🍾🔪

Think people are forgetting the childcare didn’t actually take place.

He didn’t get the childcare.

I repeat he didn’t get the childcare.

In fairness that's why he fucked off- in case he needed it.

Don't see as it justifies him making the trip though.

Thing is I’m not even that arsed he did.

But just apologise and accept responsibility. Don’t get all your clown mates to back you up and carry on the bullshit.

Theyve made the situation worse than it needed to be.

Exactly where I'm at.
Hold your hands up, say sorry and move on.

Bullshitting and then getting your colleagues to do the same isn't the way to earn/keep trust.

100%.

If he genuinely was in fear for his son's welfare, and acted as a concerned dad, could understand it.

Having done so, he must have been aware that it could come out, so lack of preparation on all parts seems ridiculous.

He didn’t need to resign or be fired, it was a storm in a teacup. He should have said Yknow what I fucked up I made a mistake.
Done.

This has just turned into a fucking huge car crash

Absolutely, could have told Boris etc as soon as.

They could have come out with statement saying he's fucked up, been bollocked and reminded of his responsibility and moved on.

No doubt some clamour, but nowt like this.

I for one wouldn’t have been calling for his head, I’m not even now I just detest the sheer arrogance of the man and the lack of acknowledgement from him and his buddies.

I’m not sure he could though. Sounds like he’s been up and down the M1 like an Eddie Stobart driver.

Even the daily mail have turned on bozza and cummonkey

Having thought about it for a few hours, it’s just utterly amateurish all round.

I, like many others, have said all through this crisis that labour would have been disastrous. I’m starting to think they may have been better.

Starmer has had a very good few days, and he’s barely had to lift a finger.

He won’t have to lift a finger for 4.5 years In reality.

Last weeks nonsensical change of emphasis from "Stay at home" to "Stay alert" makes total sense now.

Can't believe we've reached the level of defending the indefensible where people are starting rumours about his son being autistic. It's either A: Bollocks and disgusting or B: Not bollocks, but still disgusting as it's information he's clearly gone to great lengths to keep private.

It also doesn't really change anything either way.

Though fwiw, I don't agree with anyone gathering outside his house or shouting at him in the street.

Don’t be silly Tom, uve obviously not got a kid.

u don’t take a kid on a trip like that without good reason.

doesnt make it right but I’m prepared to give him the benefit of doubt, albeit with a bollocking.

so it’s not indefensible really.

The child didn’t stay there.

He was visiting his parents.

I don't think they could admit it was a mistake, the minute they do they that's it, they would lose all control over telling folk what to do

Loads can see through it, but plenty will still give them some benefit of the doubt if they think there was good reason

Once they admit to breaking their own rules they'd be more fucked than they are now i reckon, because then he'd have to go

I wonder how many of the ones complaining like fuck that Boris's last instructions were unclear are now so sure of the rules they're the ones pointing it Cummings' failings.

See I think they could. They don’t lose control if they say Advisor breaks rules & he’s being dealt with accordingly

Strong decisive leadership and shows us it’s not one rule for them and another for us

It’s weak minded management and leads to a more problematic future
