I agree having stability is a factor, but the manager still controls team shape, having a plan which the players buy into and understand, and to an extent who we sign and whether or not we play players out of position. Instability doesnt make you leave ALF on the bench or use Bridcutt or Lowe as defenders, just basics that maximises your limited resources  If you appoint a good manager you do better than if you appoint a BW manager of the last 10 years or so.  Rowett has a proven track record, he just did poorly at Stoke, but well at Burton, Birmingham, Derby, Millwall.

I don't think Hill would've played Bridcutt at centre-back if he had confidence in the alternatives. And Lowe is just the best full-back at the club. Also, I can understand why Parky left ALF on the bench.

Rowett has a track record but failed in the job he had before his current one. As did his successor, who'd done well elsewhere. That's the point. Sometimes clubs are just bad for managers.

It's just like business. A board can hire one of the best CEOs around, but if they aren't given the proper resources to do their job, or there are unrealistic expectations placed on them, their influence isn't as effective.

Surely not, he’s not even a fullback.

One thing McCarthy did say was that, apart from being certain that he had the job, that whoever did get that job at the time that they should've been able to get us back up in a season or two with the squad we had

Bunney might be better for all I know, but I'd trust Lowe defensively over Emmanuel and Fleming as things stand.

If Bunney is, then he's hid it pretty well whenever he's pulled a white shirt on, the sly dog.

I could just about accept performances like yesterday if we were playing majority of next seasons team.

Really really poor. We don’t ever look like we are going to score again.

I genuinely put our 2 clean sheets down to Wimbledon and Accrington.

i am unsure how far we can kick on with the Dodoo coming back to full back and booting it up to nobody tactic. It really doesn’t bode well.

Is this the first time he’s frequented such places? Or is this a regular jaunt after visits to the theatre of dreams?

Well funny you should say that

on return from aways he always slips off to a Holt’s pub or does he??

Frequented the Old Monkey for the swift customary Holts before the bus home.

Rolled in after midnight and tripped over a bag of crisp on my way to bed.

Only had one beer on the train home with being in work this morning. Turns out the V1 is a lot less fun when you're sobering up rather than continuing the boozing.

Cracking day out. A few scoops in The Bishop and thenThe Ram in Kingston. Was there a match on? Largely forgettable.

Bottle of Beaujolais for the way home. Gay bar with Mr Grey for the pre bus pint. Mr Grey very taken by the DJ.

Fell asleep on the bus but woke just in time to get the wife to pick me up.

Not heard from Stejay, did he make it home or did he get lost like his mate gaylord 😁

Yep, did my bit for the community too.

Gave a lift in the taxi from Buckshaw to some homeless dude.

I directed him to the best door entrances in Preston.
