I'd say that his decision is Justified even if Turf Moor is Ancient.

A good read that.  So frustrating/annoying that a bone fide fans favourite/natural scorer like ALF was under utilised.  Opportunities to have players like that don't come around very often, but sod's

He was signed whilst parkinson was here.

Not necessarily the same thing.

Why wouldn’t you want someone who scores goals ?

thats what every team and manager surely wants.

Goal (singular) is what Parky wanted. Perhaps he feared having ALF on the pitch would result in goals (plural).

A good read that.  So frustrating/annoying that a bone fide fans favourite/natural scorer like ALF was under utilised.  Opportunities to have players like that don't come around very often, but sod's law the chance to have him here for a few years coincided with the financial meltdown, and to a lesser extent Parky's criminal mis-use of him.  Grateful for the memories he provided especially v Forest but it could and should have been so much more.

Had a look on wiki

Turns out he's at Mumbai City now

11 in 20

Edit: no he's not, was just a loan, back at Sydney

Each to their own, but why the fuckery would anyone want to play football in India?

A pal in Sydney has met him a couple of times. Loves Sydney ... why wouldn't you ... but says he was heartbroken to leave but was told he would only play a bit part in Parky's plans. It's fair to say he isn't a major fan of him. Believes it's turned out well but could, & would, have given a couple more seasons before moving on.

A natural goalscorer. He would have scored at any level. At the very, very least we could have sold him for a fee.

Parkyball, twat it as far and high as possible whilst converting decent goalscorers into shit wingers with sore necks.

Adam Armstrong likes this

That sums it up nicely.  I'm being idealistic I know, but in another world, around 2017, we could have had ALF and Armstrong up front together as a modern day McGinlay/Walker.

Ballsed up big time with Armstrong m again playing him out of position

The common term for it I believe is Rodrigo syndrome.
