Johnnyrotten
Mark Gavin and Mark Little are probably their greatest ever signings, with Andy Cole narrowly behind.

Roger_Dubuis
Joe Royle - the late 1970s was a good era for Bolton but Bristol City finished higher up the league every season
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted August 13, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted August 13, 2020 Never won a cup. No European adventures (iirc). Nothing of note in the top league. A club with access to a large population yet never reflected it.

Over the years they have consistently popped our bubble. They beat us 2-1 in our first home game in division one 78/79, hammered us at Wembley in 86 and Rioch era they beat us early doors 2-0 at Burnden in the promotion season. Ashton Gate was also our biggest bogey ground, about 90 odd years without a win there.

Jordan, Hunter, Cooper, Taylor, Rose - and Mark Gavin - either started at Leeds or made their name there.
