Under 15s lad is White home, Blue away. Under 12s lad is Barca type dark blue for home I think and away like a light turquoise. Eldest is in to ripping all his socks and wearing grip socks now. Does my head in Quote

Kane57 Posted September 7, 2025 Posted September 7, 2025 Eldest wears black and white stripes with black socks and black shorts Youngest wears all blue home and away is like Barcelona Eldest lost 4-2 and was weirdly left on the bench til HT despite being club captain. Had a little snide internal laugh when they were 3 down at half time Quote

Kids footy with parents running the line is fucking awful. I did it once and got more shit off a couple of the dads of our team for not giving them off when they clearly weren't I never did it again. We had their manager in midweek clearly cheating. All the more difficult when it's my lad upfront 🤦♂️ Spent all the first half flagging everything then funnily enough not the same in the 2nd when I was stood directly behind him Quote

Dr Faustus Posted September 7, 2025 Posted September 7, 2025 My lad (15) refereed his first league game today (U12 girls). I’m slightly hungover, so left him to it as best I could… away coaches complaining about one call- ‘I’ve explained my decision, I’ve already told you once, I have the power here; now shush’ He will get some shit, but by Christ he won’t be afraid of giving it back 😂 Quote
boltonboris Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 I reffed an u13 girls game yesterday. Sin binned a girl who told me to f-off and when I said I won't accept that, she went "f-in shut up" 😄 Sent her to the sinbin for 5 mins and she came back on a completely different player. It actually works!! Booked one of my daughters teammates late in the game, for the most beautifully cynical foul late on. Down the channel, last defender (but too wide for it to be a red) and she cleaned her out. Immediately went "sorry, but I had to" 😄 It's their first season playing 11v11 and they're short of players with literally only 11 available for both games so far. My daughter's taken to it really well. Gets around the ball, changes direction of play and looks out for overloads. She's doing well - Some others are not quite getting yet, but will in time - It's surely the biggest adjustment. Don;t remember much change from 5-7, then 7-9 - In fact, they got a bit easier, but 11v11 is hard!! Especially on full-size 3G pitches Quote
Dr Faustus Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 The lad refereeing U13 girls- ‘captains please’- one sec, she’s just taking her earrings out 😂😂😂 Quote
gonzo Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 Had a right few weeks of it with my lads under 15s team. Seems 3 lads all of sudden had an injection of testosterone and decided they were gonna start being dicks. Got in with this gang in year 11 at their school in Bispham apparently. After 2 weeks of one of em being a bully to 2 other lads as he's a 6ft boxer they all just left. Goof riddance like but they were good players and it left us with only 9 lads. Managed to scrap a team together and got walloped 15-0 and 13-0. Not a happy camp and it was on the edge of folding. Luckily the manager has managed to get 2 lads in and we got 11 on the pitch on Thursday night. We won 6-2 and my lad scored a fucking worldie. Never seen a team celebrate like that. It was like we'd won the cup. Quote

Kane57 Posted September 24, 2025 Posted September 24, 2025 Eldest and her u15s just drew BWFC in the cup. We're both buzzing but also mindful of the fact Bolton are top of the Super League and have won the cup a couple of times on the spin 😀 Quote

Rival Son Posted September 24, 2025 Posted September 24, 2025 Not weird at all. Lancashire FA covers the traditional county of Lancashire. https://www.lancashirefa.com/about/history And Bolton has been at the heart of it, from the very beginning. Quote
Dr Faustus Posted October 3, 2025 Posted October 3, 2025 (edited) If you have kids in primary school, and their manager gets a game on in this tomorrow, tell them to give their heads a wobble. As a club, all our grass pitches are off… but away games are still being looked at, artificial pitches going ahead! We all love the game, and want to play- but we have a duty of care for all our players… think of the one kid who will get barely any game time, the one who is a bit so so about playing, but dad wants them down. Stood in this for 40 mins tomorrow will finish them with the game. BBDFL have said they have such a widespread league they can’t make a decision… I know off at least 2 teams waiting on a 730 pitch inspection 🤦♂️ Spurs have decided against bringing 16/18s up ffs, sure U7s will be ok a month into the season! Kane57 Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Both kids games on so far. Youngest at home tomorrow, 9am start. Eldest away tomorrow.......9am start. First game of hers that I've ever missed am actually gutted Quote
farnworth white Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Took grandson to his away game this morning in Wigan. To be honest weather wasn’t too bad at 9am kick off, straight after kick off the wind and rain started. Game abandoned just short of 4 minutes!!! It was all down to their coach wanting the game on, and even when the ref stopped the game he was the only adult wanting to carry on. It was farcical!! Quote
